Sleeplock is basically aeon and being asleep, because you can sleep them before they can insomnia and kafe, but that's not a hard lock either.

Question:
What are the 'locks' available in lusternia, and how can you cure out of each? What I have so far:
Crushlock:
crushed windpipe, slickness, something else- asthma?
Slitlock:
slit throat, slickness, something else- asthma?
amputate-lock:
double-amputated legs.

Slitlock doesn't need asthma. (Though crush does!)

Slitlock only needs slitthroat and slickness. You cleanse to get out of it.
However, if you are sprawled with a damaged leg (preventing standing), it becomes a greenlock as you can't stand to cleanse to cure the slickness because you have a broken leg which slickness stops you curing. You have to green/gedulah out.

The Prof. is on the other side of the portal in the aetherplex. Can't remember where Cankermore is though.
ongaku2010-04-26 10:30:29
Well, that helps me get the vacuum, does not help with my toxic shock though. :< Thanks for that at least. ![smile.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif)
EDIT: Some really awesome God teleported me to Cankermore!
Yay for being all better! ![happy.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif)
Except now I'm stuck on Cankermore. XD
Note to self: Buy an Aethership for these sorts of things.![dry.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif)

Am I still gonna be able to try to get a Vacuum, say, this afternoon/evening? I kinda had to go to the hospital tonight and didn't get a chance...
Ssaliss2010-04-26 11:54:58
It wasn't for sale normally, you just had to give the money to the prof. which means it's hard to estimate how your odds are. If I were to hazard a guess though, I'd say they're created when you give the money to him, and thus there's no limit of them (other than the time limit, which we don't know of). This is purely speculation though.

So... Roughly how long does it take for the beasts to go poof? I'm not sure I can survive that trek again

Lendren2010-04-26 12:52:45
It used to be that they went poof when someone blew them up and not before. Not sure if that's changed.
Ssaliss2010-04-26 13:06:20
From what I heard, it was changed. I sure hope so, at least...
Esano2010-04-26 13:48:06
Those will hang around for a long time yet, I'm afraid. If you have silentrun it can help. Forcefield definitely does.
Ssaliss2010-04-26 13:54:38
Yeah... Managed to make it out of there with 150 hull to go
Ah well, I guess I have to wait for someone with bubblixes.

Slitthroat+slickness+severedspine is another one that you need to green/gedulah out of (severspine is also an apply cure). Pre-momentum change nekotai could whore this up, not sure if it's still doable.

Daraius2010-04-26 16:41:34
What's the rationale behind not being able to wear pants under a robe?
Doman2010-04-26 16:44:09
They're the same layer of clothing mechanically
Daraius2010-04-26 16:51:21
I figured that, but... why? Why would they build that into the system? Is it something to do with clothing prestige issues? I guess it's not really a simple question.
Doman2010-04-26 16:55:29
There are 3 layers. Underwear, outerwear, and the in-between. Outerwear is coats and cloaks, underwear is corsets, boxers and the like, and the between is most armors and normal clothing. realistically, Robes would be outerwear, but they'd interfere with coats and cloaks then. So, they made them middle layer so you couldn't wear robes and plate armor
edit: at least I think this is right.
