How exactly do you repopulate herbs, when some censor.gif has stripharvested the -entire- terrain of said herb?

My herbalist alt isn't even two weeks old and I already hate this trade. mad.gif
Ssaliss2010-05-25 10:22:01
You get an ecologist to regrow said herb.

Which herb is it?
Riluna2010-05-25 10:23:49
Sargassum. There is ONE sargassum plant in the whole of the Inner Sea.
Ssaliss2010-05-25 10:31:22
Sargassum just went out of hibernation, so there will be a shortage. Although only one is a bit extreme, yeah. You could also go hunting in the Sea of Despair to see if you find any there.

EDIT: Huh. Just went through the Sea of Despair, and it's equally empty there. Never seen Sargassum stripped before...
Unknown2010-05-25 11:54:29
It grows in the Undervault, too. That's where I always got mine, especially before I had my anti-waves ring.

Are there cheetahs in the Basin? I know there's mountain lions and sabertooths, but are there cheetahs?

Oh, and antelope?
Aerotan2010-05-25 14:57:53
I could have sworn I've seen an antelope skin somewhere. May've been a gazelle, though. Probably Shanthmark/Aslaran camp. Also, Syridean is a cheetah style aslaran, and I know he's not the only one.

EDIT: Yep
QUOTE
Taller than most aslarans, Surtami is a lithe but imposing figure. Large muscles adorn her body, her upper arms bulging as she crosses them across her chest. Sandy fur covers her body, gleaming and glossy, fading to near-white across her front. Small dark spots dapple her neck and back. Her green eyes are always hard, staring warily at anyone who crosses her path. She wears a loose collection of leather armour and long leather boots, the pieces only partially covering her body.

Gazelle is fine... but I need to know if there's actual cheetahs, not an Aslaran who looks like a cheetah. Though, I suppose there would be if the Aslarans can look like them, right?

A lot of the divine splintered into forms that resemble various real Basin animals, partly because those animals were sometimes made in their image (I think.) So I don't think anyone would blame you for acting like cheetahs exist, maybe outside the Basin like tigers. Inside the Basin, not so much, since I don't think anyone's ever seen one. That might just be my memory though.

Ah, cool. Thanks you two.

I'll have to use something else then. biggrin.gif

11.1.14 CHARUNE, THE HORNED ONE

Masters of the Hunt: Aesyra and Sarrasri

The Elder God Charune is known as the Lord of the Hunt, the Sacrificial
Deer, the Horned One. His domain stretches across Lusternia in the form
of all the wild beasts of the hunt. The deer, the antelope, all things that
run on the land eluding their predators are His creations. His greatest
creation is the collective soul of all stags, the White Hart.

He holds a very genuine dislike of the cities, viewing them as paved roads
and stone buildings that only serve to distance one's self from the natural
world. Of those who live in the cities, he harbours a finite amount of
respect for the Aquamancers and Geomancers, those that have mastered the
waters and the earth.

His symbol is that of the Stag and Archer, symbolising the hunted and the
hunter.

QUOTE
The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. An orderly picket fence surrounds this charming lawn of the bluest sand, upon which several tassellated gazelles huddle nervously together in the midst of their daydreams, their time having come and gone long ago. Most are of a perfectly healthy disposition - although one may well have been in confrontation with some predator and wears a grievous wound like a necklace. A whitewashed building is a little way to the south, a latticework door standing ajar.

Didn't find any cheetahs, sorry.

Wow, Zallafar! Thanks for all that lookin! cheer.gif

How many items can be stored in a personal rift before it becomes "full"?

I've seen many complaints that it doesn't hold enough, but I'm not sure how much that "not enough" is.

2000 per.

Per personal rift/pocketbelt, or per herb/commodity?
Ssaliss2010-05-25 21:10:56
2000 is true for most things, yeah (such as herbs). Tints only go to 500 though, and since I've never really had enough money or material to experiment further with it, other things might be limited to 500 as well.

EDIT: And that's per item, so you can have 2000 of every herb, for instance, and still put in 500 of every tint.

EDIT 2: Pocketbelts have six slots of 250. So you could have one of each of six items and you couldn't put a seventh kind in, or you could have 1500 of one kind of item, or any combination.
Unknown2010-05-25 21:14:29
A pocketbelt, comparatively, can hold 250 of six commodities (they can either be different comms or all the same). Though pockebelts are buggy with removing certain things - ie, you can only remove 150 mistletoe at a time from a pile of pocketbelts.

Tints are the most annoying, really.
Felicia2010-05-25 21:15:49
2,000 each? Nice.

Thank you! Ditto for the information about pocketbelts.

It's nice until you realize that a keg of health, for example, requires 1600 galingale.

That bug was resolved with several various comms/herbs recently, so if it still does that, BUG it.
