You might lag a bit if you're, say, gliding in slipstream with shipsight on every move. But that's just to be expected.

Aetherhunting for 9 or 10 hours yesterday and my log was around 90 megabytes. So yeah.

Fain hates Elfen. Why doesn't he also hate faelings?

That's something I've wondered for quite some time.

New page, same question. Any takers?
Ixion2010-06-05 05:13:09
He's not fond of them either. His hatreds were made before Glom existed as an org IG, prolly why they aren't in the help file.

Fain hates Elfen because they are shards of Elfenehoala.

Faelings are not shards of Elfenehoala.

Or, at least, it can be debated; some Divine have claimed ICly that Faelings don't have shards at all!

Fain hates just about everything, so that's expected.

@Xenthos: Concerning the shard of Elfenehoala business, I would think that Fain would show a similar hatred towards faelings, since they're an offshoot of Elfen.

I'm pretty sure Ixion's explanation is the most likely, though.

Not quite the same thing, though. Either way, there have been Magnagoran Faelings (Iytha) without the whole "powerblock" prejudice thing that Elfen and Merians have going on for them, so there would seem to be a difference in the way that Fain sees Faelings and Elfen.

Especially since Shadow faelings could (under your interpretation) be seen as a corruption / defilement. ninja.gif Consider how they were first made.

Nariah, too.

I have a bit of in-game research (and possibly crusading!) to do now. Might make for some fun RP, at least. smile.gif

Is there anything besides rubeus and paranoia that can block/delay the effects of love potion?
Lillie2010-06-05 05:54:42
Is burning out your healing ability supposed to come with an XP loss?

Yes, the same as losing an influence battle.
Lillie2010-06-05 06:01:52
Oh. Well, that's what I get for trying to show off. tongue.gif

I read in a help scroll somewhere that thunderbirds can fly and breathe lightning naturally, and don't need to be trained to do these things. Someone with a thunderbird has told me that they haven't trained their bird to fly, and they cannot.

Is this a bug, or am I just misunderstanding something?

That simply means that the owner has not learned up to Flying in Beastmastery.

What are guild honors? I see the ability to strip them in my guild privs, but I don't see any way to ascertain what they are or how they work, and the help system and the lore page aren't helping me.
Lillie2010-06-05 06:15:52
It's a way of recognizing a big service to the Guild. It's a special honorific given to people at the Guildmaster's discretion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm only about 60% sure.

Ooookay, good thing I asked now before I wasted a bunch of trains.

EDIT: Come to think of it, are there any combatants out there who can give me advice on a beast skillset for an Aeromancer? MajorBreath and Spellcasting are already things I've decided on for sure(having trained that far in already).

Is Fain Francis from Left 4 Dead?

This.

In the Ur'Guard it's the "Order of the Black Fist", I believe. Ixion has it, ask him more about if you want.

Do dolls reset? I'm just freaking out a bit because Crow isn't showing in my artie list.
