With a heavy overhand stroke, Nydekion slams a cheekless klangaxe down upon you.
Nydekion hacks your forehead, causing blood to flow into your eyes and coat your
entire face.
Your deadly, poisonous blood splashes across Nydekion, who recoils as his skin
hisses and melts.

The music here inspires you to greater heights.

What is that?

Sadhyra's widowblood music. Does damage back to him based on how much you're bleeding.

Aww, I was hoping I had an uberawesome guild skill somewhere I didn't know about.

Wouldn't that be nice?

Hello. Everytime an enemy attacks you, you receive +3 to all stats, auto-breathe fire, and become invincible.
Also, teddy bears come out of your ears. For the children.

Trueheal? Lich? Choke? Purpletint?

I'm sure it's one of those, yes?

Nerf Purpletint.

I could be entirely wrong about the instruments, but I can't find anything on the ABs saying that crafted ones are better. You might not be able to bond with the free newbies ones? I never tried...

There's no reason not to get a pretty instrument - they last longer, look better. You pay 11-16k for one and keep it the rest of your bard career.

Unless you go crazy and snap it in half after an amazing performance.

Wouldn't it be interesting if bards had the equivalent of Maelstrom/whatever the parallels are...

Damage scales with percentage practiced...hm...

Or light it on fire after said performance?

Not sure if anyone will know this but..

If I wanted to non-decay, say, a cudgel or a torc what I want to know is:

1) If it is non-decay but not resetting can I use the relevant skill to return it to me if I lend it out to people for their use?

2) If the torc is non-decay is it going to like..run out of mana or something and just be some sort of fancy necklace.

The only way of making a cudgel non-decay as far as I know is by purchasing a rune for it, not actually requesting to make it non-decay. Cheapest weapon rune is the Gripping rune for 150cr and yes, you can use the respective skill to summon it back should you lose it.

And I don't think torcs can be made non-decay. Could perhaps try and just customize a normal necklace, maybe.

Fantastic, thank you Xiel.

Thats sort of dissapointing. I wouldn't really bother with customizing a regular necklace.
I have so many ideas for fancy torcs it isn't even funny.

This move will cause you to lose some momentum.

What does this 'some' actually mean? Is it always one momentum level or does it vary depending on action? Do I just need to try and see?
Shiri2009-01-30 10:55:26
I think it's 1 for every time you'll read that except spronk, which is 2 (and a nekotai move.)

That's a beautiful idea. You'd have to have a second instrument since you'd never use your bonded one, but it would mean you'd be practicing the second one to build up for that one big moment. Given that it takes weeks to bring an instrument up to maestro, that'd be something you couldn't do very often. It would encourage people to have more than one instrument (but to still have a "favorite") and it would give artisans more business. I love it.

Actually, the 10P Demesne Uberthwocks don't break your item anymore. It's UNLEASH Staff/Cudgel.
Lendren2009-01-30 15:15:12
Zalandrus's idea would probably have to break the instrument though, or what other limit could there be? Dropping my song? Hah.

Same as the Uberthwocks? 10pwr and 100% of your mana.

Now that begs the question. Who can take something called "Spronk" serious? shocked.gif
