Even as a Faeling Serenguard, I get to 19/20 Charisma pretty easily, and I don't have half of those things you list. Don't forget that influencing (assuming that's what you're after, though I realize ego has other uses) has several other boosts besides just Charisma.

Heh, I know. I was just wondering which would actually have the highest possible amount of charisma buffs.

Penumbra is, I believe, +2 weight, and beauty blessing is +2 also.

bardicpresence is actually +2

Ok, so how do they determine when the dolls retire? Do they retire at the end of the dingbat promotion (Feb 8), or when the next dingbat promotion begins?

Also, I can possibly get 30 credits, which is roughly 15 dingbats, when Glomdoring starts the commune credits. Assuming that the dolls don't retire by Feb 8, should I get the doll, or put them in lessons? I know, it seems obvious, but I'm really torn between the two.

Also, anyone knows if the candy box is ever going to be retired?

I hate limited edition artifacts.

I don't understand the obsession with getting a doll. You will use the lessons or even another, worthwhile artifact. Do the dolls actually do anything besides talk or attack each other? Seems like if you are pinched, you should get something useful.
Shaddus2009-02-04 01:06:40
Elfen SS with bardicpresence/netzch/beauty can get 21. Throne/TF would be better, but charisma scales after 20, I think.
Unknown2009-02-04 01:24:40
@Everiine Hrm, cause the dolls are cute? I just want one doll, the Gwyllgi one (look, I can even spell it without checking!).

@Shaddus What do you mean by 'charisma scales after 20'? Do you mean the buff weights, or that charisma after 20 give less ego/influencing time?
Tervic2009-02-04 07:50:47
I want a Luna doll! :'(

QFT.

Even more, I would have 0 respect for an adult (cause even if you aren't one IRL, you are one IG) running around and playing with dolls.

From HELP DINGBATS
Dingbats are considered OOC and you can use them to purchase gifts for others
with no restrictions as well as transfer dingbats to others.

Can Maeve's sceptre still be repaired? I remember once upon a time ago it could, but what of now?
Xiel2009-02-04 08:52:02
Yep, it's still a possible quest to do.
Unknown2009-02-04 08:54:03
Uhh dingbats might be OOC, but I don't really see how the items you purchase with them could be justified as being so. Anything your character physically holds and interacts with is, by its very nature, an IC item, unless it's something like a builder's orb.
Unknown2009-02-04 08:56:23
You have a point. I never thought of it that way.
Razenth2009-02-04 09:06:16
Other question: Are the large body of water conflict quests still doable? Meaning the raising of Marilynth/Ladantine.
Esano2009-02-04 09:12:43
Yes, although they now have no effect beyond RP and annoyance.

I have never been a big fan of greatrobes. Out of curiosity, there isn't a lot of batted leather items around as they are inferior to choosing greatrobes.

But what is the difference in blunt/cutting on greatrobes versus batted leather? Is the real deal breaker the fact that you gain the two proofings with greatrobes?
Enero2009-02-04 16:40:04
To be perfectly honest, I've yet to see a person running around in leather armour, batted or not. Haven't even bothered weaponprobing a set, but I seem to remember someone mentioning that leather is like 45/45 or something close to that. To compare, my last set of greatrobes before I went Tailoring and got splendours was 54/55 or something like that, can't remember anymore and the good person to whom I gave the robes as a present just let them decay smile.gif

Not only greatrobes offer superior protection to leather, the proofings ARE a deal breaker. Only istance where they wouldn't matter much is if you don't even defend and influence instead of bashing.
Unknown2009-02-04 16:51:15
Batting was added into the game when the administration intended bards to initially be a "leather only" class. But since anyone can wear robes, as they are clothes, no one bothers wearing leather ever. Why waste that much silk when you can make robes instead?
