Cudgels/Staves aren't the same as things like crow cloaks / crow eggs. They are weapons and can be customized/have runes put on them.

Oh. I thought people attached other runes to them to make them permanent, like a great rune of gripping or something, and the customized them.

Before you could attach these runes to them, people did buy the customize/non-decay thing for their runes/staves (if I'm remembering correctly, at least). I don't recall if anyone just did the customization. I guess it would depend on if they set it so summoning a 'new' one always recreated one with 'your' description on it.

Perhaps they do get around the whole mess now by just saying "You have to buy a rune!" It's not an area I've done a whole lot of delving into.

Though it may seem that DChord works like MajorSixth in draining health, mana and ego, it doesn't. It is purely damaging based on how many of the afflictions you have. Until an Ecologist refutes this, my guess is yes, it is affected by BatBane.

What does it look like when the necromantante (sp? Who cares?)/star of celest/ect falls?

Well, when the drums fell, it wasn't anything all that special. I mean, it was a pain in the ass to get them back up again, but it wasn't like, disastrous. No explosions or loud noises, or even silence! The drums kept beating, but the shadows just wouldn't stick till we put them up again.

Something about them falling silent. I was logged in at the time, but it really wasn't all that spectacular. I would imagine the Star of Celest falling would be much more impressive, seeing as its up in the air and all.
