That was actually kind of my point, Sadhyra. But don't tell Shiri!
Does Nature/Statue cost 10p? Does it throw you off balance for 60 seconds? Are they transcendent skills? I think that was Shiri's point

How come some people have cooler shout messages than other people? It can't just be based on level...

Is. And some people *peer demigods and ascendants* have custom shouts.
Unknown2009-02-10 06:01:01
They're probably Demigod or Ascendants. They get to customise their shouts.
Vionne2009-02-10 06:05:15
Thanks! I was just curious really.

What does Nifilhema look like? Both pre and post tainting.

You can see the Holy Emanations before their hideous mutation (/forumrp) in Shallamurine Cathedral. That was the place where they once where worshiped. At the dais of the Cathedral there are alcoves with a statue to each Emanation, I personally like to stop there and look at the statues whenever I bash there.
Cathedral can be reached from Presidio of the Damned, hidden entrance in the south-western corner will lead you to a hidden passage and there you will have to solve a puzzle in order to open the door. You have limited attempt before a fettered soul is summoned, killing the soul will also allow you to enter the Cathedral. Problem is, you'll need someone really tanky (read Demi) to help you. I personally take the later route as I suck at text puzzles. Another option you have is wait... some eight hours, when I can log on and get you inside using another method.
Small rant about Cathedral: That place give you a bloody perma enemy status. Political leader is Marani, only way to get an amnesty is to summon her![sad.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif)
As for Tainted (eww /forumrp) Nifilhema, make an alt or get someone from Mag to post the desc.

This is probably a stupid question, but with a Great Rune of Shielding on a violin, would I get both the effects of ShieldParry and WeaponParry as if I was wielding a shield and a weapon, or just the former?
Unknown2009-02-10 14:59:01
Just ShieldParry. Only warriors get WeaponParry (as far as I'm aware).

Ooh, I misunderstood the skill itself. Thanks!
Kiradawea2009-02-10 17:56:37
I guess I'll have to rely on someone from Mag posting the description, as I tried it myself before I asked the question and couldn't get into her abode.
Sarrasri2009-02-10 18:00:06
Everyone gets weapon parry, though I don't know about the rune of shielding. I parry with my athame and my shield though. ![suspicious.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/suspicious.gif)

Are traps avoidable? As in, if the Tracker has done everything right and have you declared an enemy, is there a way not to get hit when the trap fires?
Ashteru2009-02-10 18:11:55
You can go over trees or fly in or burrow in, I think.

Do the magic enhancement runes (+% damage) work together with weapon runes that alter the type of damage?

Newp!
Because the source of the damage needs to be magic, and but magic weapon runes are a type, not a source, as I understand it.
Ashteru2009-02-10 18:25:42
I think they do for the magic runes, heh.

When picking herbs, is the rate at which you pick governed by your regular balance? IE, is a faeling faster at picking herbs than an igasho?
