How do you get into Duum? I've been stuck in the maze tunnels, and got killed by cave-fishers.

Just follow Caffrey's full realm map. D d e e w s s n w w e n u u, and you're there.

Huh, the map was confusing. I didn't know what the directions meant. Oh well, now I know. Kinda painful to lose about 8% exp to that though. sad.gif

Is there an herb (or any means other than racial powers or enchantment) to breath underwater in Lusternia?

Totems or enchantment or racial. Nothing else will do.

Isn't there something in Environment?
Shiri2009-03-09 16:17:34
There's fluidswim, but that doesn't actually let you breathe in underwater zones like the Seas or Carai Caroo or whatever.

(There's also the mage spell waterbreathe, but that's kinda an enchantment effect so eh.)

So...let's suppose I'm thinking of getting a mount, and to train it to be a great tool in either influencing or hunting.

-What are good things to train in either of these routes?
-Which route is more feasible with a lower skill in Beastmastery? (Or is there no point in trying unless I'm near trans?)
Lendren2009-03-09 16:59:55
For either influencing or hunting help, be sure to get Regenerate Ego. Your beast will run out of ego to cure you with fast enough even with it, and so fast without it there's no point in having it able to heal you. Other than those two and the influence boosts there's not a lot you can use for influence boosting, so you can blow the rest on things like galloping and flying.

For hunting, healing your health and bodyguard are the big ones. Again, you won't need a lot else so you can put the rest into movement stuff. You could also make one beast that can help both with hunting and influencing.

It's for helping with PvP combat that the train limits become a serious issue. There's enough worth having there to fill up a few beasts, in fact, so you'll have to choose between them.
Unknown2009-03-09 17:01:15
Why not train it to do both? Bodyguard and the influencing boosts. I can't think of any other trains that help influencing or bashing, unless you include the beast heals.

Edit: Lendren ninjaed me with a more elaborate post.

Can someone with timestamps tell me the time between links on a Nexus? Ignoring latency, it should be an even integer second value.
Xiel2009-03-10 03:16:58
Question about pocketbelts! I have about 50 of the things on me and for some reason, I've finally started hitting maximums for my coltsfoot (at 11,750), marjoram (6,500), and sparkleberry (7,500). I can still keep putting in other herbs, but why're there maximums for these three and why're they all so varied in number?
Simimi2009-03-10 03:18:58
Is there a command like TELLS FULL that brings up the most recent 10 or so communications for any aether?
Shiri2009-03-10 03:22:39
No, although there should be.
Simimi2009-03-10 03:31:34
idea'd!

15 seconds exactly.

A pocketbelt can store up to 250 each of 6 types of item. You can duplicate items - so you might have three of the six pockets holding faeleaf (max 750), one holding sparkleberry (max 250), and two holding coltsfoot (max 500), When you have 50 pocketbelts ... well, you get the idea. Basically, it's in multiples of 250!
Xiel2009-03-10 06:20:45
Darn pocketbelt limitations. Hmph, I say. losewings.gif

-envoy new trans Planar skill for demigods to have unlimited rift space since conglute doesn't help them anymore-
Razenth2009-03-10 06:25:11
That would actually be awesomely cool for an Ascension skill.

There's also a cool, new thing in Lusternia called a shop! (I know, it's just your OCD. Why else would we be herbalists, right?)

I remember back when I just started, I did a LOOK XENTHOS. Back then, pocketbelts weren't grouped together. I was amazed. I had the most amusing image of Xenthos being covered in pocketbelts, being mummified by them.
