the lower trunk of the Queen's Tree. The room created is immense and covered in
wall to wall hanging murals that depict the past skirmishes and feats of
ancestors long since deceased. Potted trees glisten with leaves of silvery tint,
their scent flourishing throughout the air adding a subtle crispness to it.
Richly appointed chairs lie about the room for casual conversation and one
entire rounded wall is filled with a shelved bookcase holding every book the fae
have ever retrieved. Glowing glyphs hang in the air here. A carefully shrouded

I think something's broken. I ran out of phlegmatic, which was what caused the problem, but had nothing that warranted sipping phlegmatic. The system seemed to have flagged Choke as aeon and was trying to cure it instead of pausing everything. I clicked the little gun at the bottom of zMud, but even that didn't stop the whole bunch of sip commands getting queued all of a sudden.

Heh, wasn't 'really' a jump since it was 5 mins after you chopping elders in prime glom. I hadn't planned it, just walked in randomly and my fae attacked. I can't help with the system trouble, but we can test it, just let me take 10 mins to switch over to my laptop, see if I can solve these 10 secs lag spikes.

It's fairly well known that the system does not cure in Choke. Yes, it will assume aeon, and so you need to switch to manual and/or move when you see Choke.

Pause would work much better, yes. It's a pain to heal manually in Choke, but pausing at least allows the system to still track your afflictions and balances (for when you're out of the Choke and unpause it again).

If it is the system I think it is, you will get screwed as soon as you diagnose in choke. Don't ever do that. Pause before you do it.

I don't know what it is...but Palisade just has is moments where things that used to work fine start freaking out for no apparent reason. Like Zarquan said, just pause in choke. I disable choke triggers because illusions mess Palisade up and just pause when I see choke. It's the easiest way to handle it.

I was gonna try and work out a good auto-curing setup for Choke, but it's just too time consuming and I've got better things to do. Sorry!

Psh, I know of at least two people that have coded -curing- for choke / retardation. Leaving isn't the only option!

PS: Though hexes + fae instantly would probably make me leave too. Curing or no. ^^

The best option, of course, is to send in the meat shields first and THEN go in with relative safety.

Zapping the caster doesn't count as curing!

His Choke curing is decent. But Retardation, no matter the system, is not meant to have automated curing. That's the whole purpose of Choke, and why Retardation should be removed across IRE in general.

Retardation is nowhere near as bad a choke. Retardation killed your passives. Choke doesn't. Both are pretty bad, still. (Though when I played Achaea, people weren't as trigger happy with the retardation button as they are here with the choke button)

I know this. However, Achaea is the only place that Retardation is arguably manageable. They have become trigger-happy with it over there these days though. Transfix whores.

But yes, you are right in that Choke has no real passive disadvantage for the Night user. Honestly, no disadvantage at all. But I've argued this same song and dance before, and I'm tired of ranting about it. I'm content right now with the fact that Choke can't be used on Avatars anymore. Provided that stays the same, I have no complaints.
