I'm up to PrincessFarewell in Starhymn and somewhere in Expert planar - Gateweave, I think? So what would be better - to focus on transing Starhymn or transing Planar? All credits that I will obtain will be obtained IC.

Planar. Hands down.

Trans Starhymn, then trans planar.

Have no idea who you are IG... tells you how much I visit the forums.
Really, Starhymn has no affect on hunting, but Planar means you'll conglute...
I think if you're not interested in taking part in combat just yet, go Planar for the conglute. If you are, Starhymn is necessary. Princessfarewell is a good point to stop at -anyway-.

Keep in mind, however, that higher Starhymn would mean longer song duration. Songs you can use, then, to help you in hunting. I don't know how useless Starhymn is, but for Wildarrane (Spiritsingers) and Shadowbeat (Harbingers), the song effects really help.

Starhymn. Don't put anything unto planar unless you're just going to trans it at once. It sounds like you're going to be getting credits slowly and using them as you get them, so in that case I would say starhymn.
Also, you don't need conglut to hunt. I'm level 81 and I only hunt prime/undervault, which you can't conglut on anyway.

Hm. How will trans Starhymn help me? Oh, and which would be the best song effect to have on?

As far as I know, the higher your skill level is in Music/, the stronger MinorSecond is. For Starhymn:
LoveCanticle - faster balance for health/mana/bromides
HopesCarol - fire/cold/electric resistance
StarLight - health/endurance regeneration
CelestOde - stronger damage
Keep in mind, though, that I'm not too familiar with how Starhymn is. Maybe there's an effect somewhere I under- or overestimated.

Depends on what you want to do, really. I personally have two versions of my song - one for hunting, and another for fighting. If I were a Cantor, for hunting I'd prolly use HopesCarol, Processional (Unless you really need health, then maybe StarLight instead), and LoveCanticle for my Lows. CelestOde, CrusaderCanto, and LightCantata for my Mids (since the Cantors are a) missing a fifth, viable Mid and don't really have anything but player vs player Mids), and Recessional, JustChorale, and EverSea (interchanged with Requiem/PrincessFarewell as needed, since again, Starhymn really doesn't have much else but player versus player stuff).

Hm. Noob bard question: do all the effects stack? How would it work?
Xiel2008-10-11 04:26:44
Bard song effects take effect up to the highest stanza played...so if you have powers imbued in 1 - 9 but only play to 6, you'll only get the effects from 1 - 6. Otherwise, yes, the effects all work as long as the song is currently active.
