Appearance: flamboyant robes of gold and ivory

Dropped: A set of gaudy robes has been dropped here, dust settling in the folds.

Examined: Gaudy and somewhat tacky, these robes seemed to be designed with the intention of assaulting one’s visual senses, a feat which they accomplish easily. The outer robe is made of heavy, ivory-hued linen, and reaches to the wearer’s ankles. It is covered on the front in a dazzling array of geometric designs sewn in gold thread, while a blazing, smiling sun is stitched on the back and filled in with gold silk. The inner robe is lined with plain white silk, with frilly gold lace appearing at the neckline. The enormous collar of the robes rises to the top of the wearer’s head and to the shoulders on either side. It is made of starched golden fabric, with a rigid framework of actual gold in place to keep it upright, which causes the wearer to appear as though a miniature sun is shining just behind his or her head. Finally, the wide, pleated sleeves of the robe are made of fine golden silk, and hang to the waist if the arms are outstretched, while tight cuffs with pearl buttons secure the wrists

they aren't Eventru robes. I just happened to think of them back when he was constantly spamming us with excessively verbose entry messages

Oh, well, still they are pretty fantastic.

They actually kind of remind me of some thief stealing robes so often in achaea that a god made them a pair that gave them a custom entry/exit message that announced them sparkling (and they couldn't remove the robes if I remember right). The thief didn't like that since they had to be stealthy and all.

I did a bed design that way, so over the top no one would ever want it, poking fun at all the other four-poster bed designs that are falling over each other trying to be more grandiose. Got lots of laughs. The funny part, though, is I've actually sold a few to people who apparently didn't realize the design was a joke. (And since it's a public design, other people may have, too.)

I should have made it a private design! Maybe I should make a sixteen-poster bed.

You made it too pretty. You used words like grand, elegant, sumptuous, and even nice fluffy pillows. I mean, who wouldn't want fluffly pillows?

You should have made it gaudier. Add some bling, like diamond-encrusted pillows, or gold-plated posts, or even 'silver bedsheets so sparkling, that they let you see even in the night'.

I should create a character just to wear those robes. I wonder what kind of personality he'd have...because I'd definitely need a guy.


That bed is awesome. It's so Rococo (Although most people probably don't have any idea what I mean by that.



I knew I forgot something last night. I forgot to send him a message about name changing. I will have to do that tonight if it's not changed.

EDIT: I was really tempted to put this in rants too. There were at least a hundred names that should have been removed from the player lists. Fortunately it seems like someone went through and weeded out some of the really bad names. So a great big thank you hug for all those who cleaned up the player list of unreasonable names!
