It's my justification, and I have only ever heard a Southern accent, which I'm guessing is still american. Like I said though, I've -never- heard an english accent, and it was sexy
Noola2009-02-19 00:37:09
I think English accents are sexy too.

I don't think you're quite getting it. You're saying that you're American so you've never heard an accent... which really doesn't make sense. It's not a valid justification. Americans do travel to other countries (sometimes!).

Well, I see where you are coming from, but what -I- was saying, is I'm an American who has never been outside of the States, and therefore have never heard an accent such as hers. That's all. Not trying to say no American has heard an English accent before.

Linky
I count, at a quick glance, 5 major American dialects with ~20-25 different accents. You don't need to go out of the country to hear an accent. I'm sad that I've pretty much lost my accent (damn you Ohio).
EDIT: Actually, this article lists about 45 American english accents, not counting Canada.

I've noticed a lot of Americans have this view. It makes me want to go visit.

Quite true, which I did mention in one of my posts prior to that. I was mostly sticking to the international end of things since that was the main accent-in-question, though.
There are far too many accents. Bah.

Less merkins pretending they don't have accents, more quotes.

I think they're funny.
Ask Shiri, I laugh at him.

We haven't talked in like a year! (Noola, you should get on AIM!)
Furien2009-02-19 03:20:45
Shiri's accent is closer to Transylvanian than it ever will be to British.
Dai2009-02-19 03:23:58
I'm all curious now. I want to hear Shiri's voice.

Now we know how to win Noola's heart, just make a bunch of noises and she'll swoon.
Tomorrow: "Noola you have 50 new voicemail messages."
