The problem was that, it started off recognizable as poetry, and sort of... developed into a semisensical train of thought that one would almost expect to be accompanied by a guy in a beret playing bongos.

Actually, the log helps. I didn't see most of the initial shouts for some reason, so it seemed pretty random when they started spouting poetry.

Notice carefully I hadn't shouted the first part (my shouts are nice and agonizingly obnoxious). I as well was thoroughly confused, until I noticed Sthai's comment that it was illusions. So they really were out of the blue, as far as I was concerned. The earlier pair were simply lucky I had been making dinner and hadn't noticed the first couple of shouts. *shakefist*

I never shouted stating I was bored, nor that I wanted you to shout poems. Any of them saying 'Eventru, Crown of the Exalted shouts,' weren't mine.

All I saw was a series of insulting, stupid shouts, which ended in Shaddus' fiery blue demise.
