Glom can't even guard their own commune. Just ignore them and buy your horses.

You have to STABLE INCUBATE COLT at the stable and then wait for 30 hours.
-mutter- I was told 24 hours. Hmph.

It would make sense that you could train them and sell them, but the new owner couldn't use the trained abilities without knowing how, I'm sure.
Correct. If you train a beast with the bodyguard ability and trade it to somebody else, the bodyguard ability won't be active until that person has the bodyguard ability in Beastmastery.
However, I am curious if some enterprising people may not sell beasts with full trains and/or abilities. As I am sure you are finding out, training a beast is not a quick process... How much would you pay for a horse with full trains (but no abilities learned)? Horse traders take note!

Ha! It's like forging animals (only much less mind numbing).
Rika2008-10-13 18:39:19
As Estarra pointed out, training a beast is not a quick process. Currently, for my level 12 horse, I was able to administer 2 suporu, feed him one food, then another suporu. He has then been fed two more foods (all foods being eggs/fruit), but cannot yet take another suporu. This means I have had to have the horse out for about 3 hours (on average), as they only eat one food at a time.
Just a quick suggestion, when a beast in stabled, can they please eat up their feedbag food first? Right now, if you stable a horse and leave, the they just eat stable food, which really makes it a pain if you don't have much time to be on Lusternia to train beasts.

Hmm, interesting idea. I'll give it serious thought.

Grrr, so torn between getting skill now, or waiting for more pets to be available.
I really don't want a horse. :\\ Wonder when new ones will get added?

You must not have read the post just a few above yours, where it says that you need to use BEAST RETRAIN FULL (instead of ALL). It's been BUGged, too.

Ecology has finally been updated and it's nifty to have the familiar deflect the odd blow against a player. It kinda sucks that everyone can have this ability now. Perhaps change the way the familiar can dodge, perhaps increase the chance of deflecting?
Perhaps make it so that it can deflect against denizens?

Umm.. no.
Ixchilgal2008-10-13 19:43:51
Can feed and reagents be riftable?
It doesn't take much to fill your shop with feed to the point where even if you look specifically -for- feed, it doesn't show it all.

No need to. Ecology's FamiliarGuard leaves the familiar invincible, whereas Beastmastery's BodyGuard leaves the mount damaged when they take a hit. Kill the mount and the blocking is gone, so the Beastmastery one is at most, temporary.
