So, now we have to trans beastmaster to enter combat?

(You can't tell from that picture, but the line is next to an omnitrans demigod Avatar, who is, naturally, shrouded.)
Rika2008-10-13 20:50:31
Yay! I can enter! biggrin.gif

The more I play around with my beast, the more exciting it is becoming.

So does your beast eat one feed per hour its out of stables - i have 3 horses with full feedbags and they're mostly refusing to take their suppliments or feedbags angry.gif
Rika2008-10-13 21:36:07
Yes, only if they are out of the stables. Which is why I asked for that to be changed! Hoping Estarra decides to go with it. smile.gif

Wouldn't your change (so that beasts in stables eat from their feedbag, not the stable) make it so that if a person can't log in for a few days, and the food runs out in their feedbags, they'd starve? Or am I misunderstanding what you were meaning?

No, my change would just be so feedbag food has priority over stable food. Once feedbag food is all used up (5 hours), their stable food will be used. As long as you have paid for a sufficient number of months, it won't starve.

Ah! Gotcha! smile.gif

Go go feeding changes and riftables feed/reagents.
Rika2008-10-14 00:22:58
So, it seems like a beast gets 2 'free' reagent administrations (so you don't have to feed it anything), and then subsequent administrations require 2 of the corresponding feeds. Beasts eats ONE feed every midnight. Each reagent gives 10 training points. So, to get the full 600 points, you need 116 feeds and 58 reagents. So, realistically, on average that is about 116 hours you have to be training to get the full 600 training points on one beast.

NOTE: The above numbers are assuming that it only takes 2 feeds per reagent. This may be more.

This just seems a bit excessive to me, as it is already expensive to raise beasts. dunno.gif

Any one of the following solution could really help turn beastmastery away from annoying to fun:
1) Allow beasts to eat from feedbags while stabled (maybe 50% chance each midnight?).
2) Allow beasts to eat more than 1 feed each day (noon?).
3) Raise the amount of training per reagent to 15, if not 20.

Wait. 5 hours, is that a full bag?
Rika2008-10-14 00:23:34
Yes, one feed per hour (midnight).

Yes, one feed per hour (midnight).

That's rather unreasonable. It's pretty much insuring that stables make money.
Meliana2008-10-14 00:34:02
I'm paid up for 3 months and I filled the feddbag a few hours ago. My freaking horse just died of starvation. I had no clue the feedbag was so small or was based on hours...this sucks
Dugan2008-10-14 00:49:27
now that blows. How can you pay it for months and then it dies of starvation. Hopefully that will be something that will be changed. Thats just horrible.
Rika2008-10-14 03:57:24
I can now confirm that it is not 2 feeds per reagent, so my 116 hours was actually an underestimation. By how much, I am not certain.

I'm being lazy again and not looking through the thread for this answer content.gif

Bought, 900cr pets come with three skills (phoenix, mount, fly). Do these skills count towards the training points, or are they bonus skills? And if they don't, is there a way to downgrade the pet to the skillless 500cr pet with only inherent mount and get the 400cr back? It'd be so much cheaper (if slower) to use reagents.
Rika2008-10-14 04:10:32
They are bonus skills.
Kaalak2008-10-14 04:10:54
Can we get the feedbag to last longer than 5 hours? 12 seems like a good number.

Kharaen2008-10-14 04:14:06
Yay for bonus skills! I is happy now content.gif
