Only for pets IIRC.

They need to add retraining for collared beasts too. It makes sense.

This sounds so confusing :S
So my pet can get killed if I convert it to a beast? And if so, what happens to the credits I spent making it immortal?

It'll get the phoenix ability. It'll rezz in 10 minutes instead of an hour.

The number of reagents you can give a beast is determined by how much food they've eaten. For example, if you want to train a beast in body, it must have eaten enough body food (meat or oats) in order to take a reagent, so it definitely is important what type of food to feed your beasts.
(Pets don't need to eat so don't have to deal with this which may be where the confusion arises.)

Can you make beasts that are collared be able to be retrained? I don't think it's an inappropriate request. -shrugs- Or make it so you can pay to retrain, but it will cost... few thousand gold? I don't know.. Just wondering.

Just to note...Thoros mentioned about Vaulting not being there. Could this be switched over from Riding too? Also, could the skills needing the Beastmaster to be mounted to work be marked with a *, please? Guessing which need mounting and which don't to work is funky.
Unknown2008-10-12 03:07:21
I'd also be down with vaulting just not consuming balance either.

rofl, I totally agree.
Oh! And while we're requesting things, even though this has NOTHING to do with anything... Make there a message for when your runes wear off your weapons and armour!

Any chance of the Spatula artifact working with the new cooking ability for pets? As it is currently, only one feed item is made per 3 comms...artifact or no.

Oh, and also Penelope's thing too.

Are manse denizens considered pets for this thing?
If so, do they recover in their "reset room," or do they recover in the stables?

oooh I wanna make little feeding bowls for pets beasts, vicious snarling beasts, now.(with a nice floral trim)
Just because I'm not 1337 hax0r enough to telnet in from here I'm going to have to go off the forums. Could we get some ab files up, especially with the breath weapons.
What determines breath weapon type? or is it pure magical damage
What restrictions are there on spellcasting?
What is the advantage of beast master?
I'm soo tempted to call in sick go home and start playing :'(

Just make it take up floor space, and one beast per kennel.
Also, how do you tell how much health/mana/ego your pet has?

oooh can they have a little food bowl outside so that random visitors can leave them a treat to prevent their death if the owner is away for a looong time...

I'm still a little confused about the effect this'll have on credit-bought artifact like pets. Are we not going to be able to get them anymore at all, or will they just not have the abilities that beasts do?
Like, say, I want to buy a pet and have him be a tuxedo dressed butler guy who'll deliver my mail and packages and what-not and sniff snootily when anyone tries to talk to him but me.
Would I be able to? Or are these pets being completely replaced by beasts?
Or have I just confused myself and nothing about credit-pets is going to change?

credit pets as we know them will no longer be available
If you currently have one it will remain effectively the same but you can change them into a beast by issuing yourself.
Or atleast thats how I'm reading it.
