Anyway, after rereading over all the posts I'm going to have to say everyone is pretty clueless about the real potential of Telepathy. Then again everyone who has commented so far on what they know about it isn't 'top tier' users for telepathy.

There are tricks to using it and it's not useless against top tier fighters. Just gotta figure out what works.
Most mages won't kill with 1 skill 1 vs 1 anyway, mages aren't ment to be soloists outside their demesne anyway y'know.

This is, of course, coming from the person who's experience with telepathy includes peace/paralysis/mindblast x50, obviously she is fully exploiting the "potential" of telepathy and we're just talking out of our butts.

She can point at Forren all she wants, but I point at the log of Forren vs Thoros, where Thoros tanked Forren in demesne for an extended period of time without sparkleberry. Sure Forren won eventually, but would he have won if Thoros had sparkles? No.

Telepathy Mindblast (along with staff) were ninja nerfed somwhere during the DMP shift, and apparently the Admin don't know why or how it happened. Mindblast damage is capped really low (about 1800 to 10k health warriors), and it's a 6 second balance. If people want to argue that isn't tankable, great for them. There's a reason there have been a handful of truly decent telepaths since DMP.
