it takes balance if I polevault into a room and use said polevault to lead into an attack on someone adjacent. It does not use balance if I'm just vaulting from room to room for sh*ts and giggles. It does take a decent amount of endurance though.

It does seem arbitrary that humans would be described as "ordinary", doesn't it? In the context of the Basin of life, humans are no more or less unusual than the other races. Even within our own out of character context they are unusual, in that we real ordinary humans do not suddenly begin evolving.
