You know, I didn't have much trouble at all with them last night. I kept 'dominator' targeted so if I ran into one I didn't have to waste time targeting it and that helped. Plus I stayed mounted on my horse and used the added moves before you get a hasty message to help me get out of dodge if I ran into more than one.

The crimson ones were actually pretty easy to kill. The nightmarish ones were harder and the only time I worried about dying but I never did.

And my character only has 3800 health.

Course, I never ran into more than two at a time so luck played a part in my not dying to dominators last night as well, I'm sure.

We're not taking away the custom stuff. We're just changing how it's addressed, and reviewing policies on length, what the message can look like, etc etc.

Cool.

Will our not-so-secret base go away, too?
(Or will you be adding domoth-themed miniquests?)

Same here. Xaakin's turning out more artistic than scientific, and that's due to the fact that... I really don't know what to do with Lusternian science. :/ It'd all be making stuff up, and then I'd be worried that I'd get called out on how poorly I made stuff up.

It's definitely two steps: read things people wrote before you, then make stuff up, either fitting in with what went before or throwing it out and saying why you did that.

There's also a good bit of writing ability required.

I'd like to think that I have the writing ability necessary to perform such a task. My only concern is being called out on making stuff up or whatever. I think, regarding what I told the Conclave, that I might be able to do pretty well with anatomy and physiology type things.
