Thoros isn't saying it's a bad thing, he just thinks it's lame that it's happening to herbbane but not other things.

As per an envoy post I made a few weeks ago, this can happen with any major concern!

so the only way to survive this attack is to run. yet to get away from pfifth you have to eat which causes you to die. Awsome balance.

You can gust the Bard away (though forestal bards have a higher chance of staying put I believe)

Commune bards have no skill that makes them harder to move than city bards AFAIK.

Then off this I'll say that herbbane is not OP, since everybody can get high health if they really try.

if by try you mean, change to a race that ruines your offensive, or change to an archtype so you can keep offensive and have high health (eg. knight). Every form of damage should be scaling, and scaling properly, yes I should be doing 2k+ damage on you when you have 10k health, no I should not be doing that on Casilu with health.

Especially since more health also equals sipping, scrolling and sparkling for more.

Also you complained about SS passives and think Herbbane is balanced? lol

While the entire glomdoring slept we agreed on:

deleting choke but then having Charune slip his finger and delete entire glomdoring instead. Unfortunatly then Dylara woke up and we where all to scared to mention it ever again. sad.gif

Sorry but SS passives > herbbane.

Though not every archtype can do this, I can completely negate any damage from herbbane which is why I don't see it as overpowered.

I do agree that SS passives are worse than herbbane, but that doesn't negate that herbbane is still bad and needs to be fixed a bit (thanks Envoys/Charune!)

Now we can work on SS passives!

If you have concerns about SS passives, you're free to contact your envoy to bring them up.

Why does everything need to be done via envoys?

When something is just obviously stupid and overpowered why can't the administration take it into their own hands to fix the problem? This is what really irks me.

We agree. We 100% agree.

Envoys can be biased, and the worst part is that they're elected by the administration. Which can SOMETIMES lead to not-so-good people becoming Envoys. Though, I agree with Thoros in that the administration should be able to recognize when something is ridiculous themselves, and not rely on a select herd of the playerbase.

For a short explanation of why I personally like running things through envoys:

The main mission of the envoys is to funnel skill suggestions and combat balance concerns to the administration. They're both funnels and filters for this.

Why don't we only rely on direct player feedback?

1. A single voice does not represent a player consensus. If three people are being quite loud in a forum thread, we have no idea if they are simply the canaries in the mine, alerting us to a legitimate problem, or a loud 1% of the playerbase. So for us, this is not ideal. A better solution would be a group representative of the concerns of the game, from all different sides, who can temper what they see with their own experience. Enter the envoys!

2. Envoys can act as a player filter for ideas. We're quite busy as administrators, and ridiculous ideas can be stopped before they even reach us. Sorry, no button to make people heartstop!

3. We (administrators) are by definition removed from combat in Lusternia. Though we have our own judgments built on past experience, it helps to have opinions from those who are actively fighting.

Hopefully that explains where I'm coming from a bit.
