Thoughts on DoublePain

With the new monk "momentum," I'd like to suggest a tweak and new psymet ability.

Doublepain
By my calculations, the psymet DoublePain (DP) adds less wounding than the kata strength modifier. Imagine that-- strength (early in kata skillset) outweighing DP (late in psymet).

To fix, have DP literally double the output of the strength kata modifier. Or, in other words:

DP locked, strength hard = (nearly) double damage added by hard
DP locked, strength soft = (nearly) double wounds added by soft
DP locked, no strength = no increase wounds / damage

I don't think it would be overpowered, as damage / wounding output would depend on a psymet working in tangent with a kata skill.

Impetus
New psymet skill to decrease the rate of natural momentum deceleration. Or, in other words, would add +1s to momentum duration. So, it normally takes 5s to bump down one level of momentum, Impetus would make that 6s.

Compounded, a psymet would gain a max of +5s to decelerate from 5 momentum back down to 0.

Alternatively, make Impetus a skill that lets us bash without the sucky windup. tongue.gif

Here were my initial test results from some while back. Guess you could check the date of the post. I would love to see anyone support or refute these findings with your own study.
