Canon? Xenthos, we ARE cannon. If you can get your name into the event logs, then you are officially part of the mythos. They just have to do a little work and explain it away (Pixie-Faeling is the excuse here)
*BOOM* ?
But really, if I was to describe myself as a 90-foot-tall Shadowlord Faeling, that's pretty obviously not in line with the general theme of the race. Same as if Myrkr was to do the same thing. It's not suddenly canon just because I decided to break The Vision™.

As I've said before, I've interacted with plenty of admin and admin-controlled NPCs. If I was doing something wrong, I suspect one of the Admin would confront me via in-person-in-game, tells, messages, forums, or e-mail. So far, no one has told me, "no, you're too small" except for a select few players.

As far as I know most admins do not comment on descriptions. There are some well known people out there with horrible descriptions, as long as they aren't overly offensive, sexual, or full of binary code or something then nothing is really ever said.
Besides, all of you are poser faelings anyway. So hmph.

I've responded to that before, too. Them not saying anything doesn't mean it's canon. Just like if I start roleplaying that my long-lost uncle is actually the god Dealeo, inventor of all gambling activities. Or when one of Tully's old characters makes a post about questing for "Beer Elementals". That is, by itself, not validation, despite the fact that they don't comment on it either way.
There's also really nothing wrong with roleplaying 6 inches or so (plus or minus some) if you're always using a diminish enchantment, since that does get you around the ballpark technically. It is within range, but it's not really canon as a "standard size" for the race.
Rika2008-10-18 23:06:26
The half a foot/size point isn't even correct for all races. For example, I recall one of the admin saying the trill race have size 10 because they are generally tall, but also very skinny (something about their bones). Tae'dae are not necessary very tall, but their size 15 comes from their breadth being large.
Also, I'm not buying the whole six inches thing. Anyone that size will be instantly killed with one swing of my bludgeons.
Edit: And if the admin are like many people, myself included, they wouldn't even bother looking at the descriptions of every single person they come in contact with.

I imagine each point of the size stat to be approximately 6 inches.
For the most part, it seems to fall around this measure.

On the subject of the Rikapost, it's called Proportional strength. The smaller something is, the tougher, and more powerful it is- proportionally. For example, a 15 foot tall man would collapse upon himself, but a 3 foot tall man is short, strong, and often angry.

Since I can't ever get away from that lack of judgement about the "Beer Elementals" post one of my first characters made...
I hope someday the Admin create the Beer Elementals akin to Crumkidvia. They aren't called spirits for nothing...
And when they're discovered--the first thing they'd do is kidnap Arix and charge him with war crimes. After all, what is a distillery to a beer elemental...

In this case, it wasn't meant as a dig at you, but as something that was discussed in-game without Admin response one way or the other. They tend not to get involved in that stuff unless you actually seek them out.
I don't think they even really got involved in the cleaning thing until it had already caught on with Mag's citizenry.

Hijack successful?

If you are in an events post it does NOT mean your various attributes are considered "canon" by the admin - hell if they're going to nitpick over your physical description (if they even look at it, which I rarely do since the writing in most of them annoys me, also too few people seperate out their equipment). If you're unusually small for a faeling and got into an events post it's more likely because you have some kind of dwarfism-related birth defect than because faelings canonically fall within that size range.

Or, as Ialie said, they didn't even take a look at the description.

No, that was me. Ialie said they don't comment on them.
