I have a lot of ideas, I'm just really bad with finishing through with any of them 'cause I think no one would like it anyway.

I don't think getting people to like them is the point here, it's just to write and write and write! Who knows, you might get better.

Actually I have no idea. I was just going to write and write, and maybe see where the story takes me. I did something similar with some fan fiction that I wrote awhile ago. I decided to make it an orignal story that takes place in the Getbackers' world. It was still kinda crappy, but it was fun to write. Too bad I lost it all when I reformated, my laptop

Maybe you should add a list of people who are participating to the OP?

We should have a Lusty write-in party! Despite the fact that everyone lives in completely different places. Basically you all meet up at one place and write. It's very helpful to have a bunch of people to shout random questions at (like how should this character meet up with another character?) and not have them think you're crazy.

I went to one last year. It was fun, though we all slacked off towards the end and watched Achmed the Dead Terrorist/other random YouTube videos instead of writing.

I wouldn't mind participating in a word war. It'll give me more motivation to type. My name is endlessnite there, too.

My area has a 4 hour Write-In I'll be attending all but 1 Sunday of November. I'm definitely looking forward to that. I just moved out here, so getting to meet some new people with similar interests is definitely a nice prospect. Especially if maybe I can establish a more permanent writing group out of it.

Oh, btw Noola, I like the Goddess-hires-PR Firm idea. I enjoyed the premise in Hancock, and I think it could be interesting.

That one about the psychic makes me think of Cassandra. Although I think with Cassandra that all her prohecies were real, but she was cursed so that nobody believed them

I think I tried to do it about four, five years back, but never really got into it.

Ok, I've updated the first post with everyone who's said for sure they're gonna do it, and/or has added a particpant widget to their sig. I'll update the post as more folks join in.

Also, I've added everyone who's user name I was sure of as a writing buddy on the Nano site. Saran, Silferras, are you using those as your user names on Nano too? Oh, and if more folks are interested in the word war, let me know that too and I'll update the first post. If it turns out more than five of us are, we can always split it up between two (or more!) widgets and put all of em in our sigs or something.

And I've gotten a few thumbs up on the 'Goddess enlists PR agent' story idea so far. I think I'm gonna go with that one. Now to flesh it out a bit. Decide which Mythological Goddess I want to use, figure out why she's decided to try to regain her Godlyness, how she's gonna convince the PR agent... all that good stuff.

If anyone's all stumped on an idea when Nov. 1st starts, you can totally borrow/rework one of the others if you like.

Also, if you lot hop onto the forums there, under Plot Doctoring I've created a "game" that'll help people think of plots! Thread's name is "Starting Off, a challenge of a new kind!" If you're out of ideas or a little bored, it might be fun to hop in there and post on the thread.
