Fable 2 FTW!! I haven't sacrificed a spouse quite yet, but I have sent a few street girls to their demise by beheading. I just wish the vendors sold more celery because all the mutton and pies are really slowing me down.

(Add me as an XBL friend! Unless you have, and I forgot your account name...)

I shall! I actually have no XBL friends as I just started the service for it last month, lost all my offline achievements though. sad.gif

I've been thinking about this too a lot lately, and looking at the game lists and the expected game lists coming out there's really only one or two games that each system has/is getting that the other wont have. Though, looking at the price of a PS3 and an Xbox 360, I think I'm going to try a new console and grab a 360.

Just as a question, does it hook up immediately to wireless or do I need an adapter thingy? And even if I don't get wireless, can I run it through a cable?

Apparently PS3 has inbuilt wireless whereas xbox needs a £50 or so mod, which closes up the price gap there a little (though there's still a £100 difference or so depending on model.)

An advantage of the xbox in terms of library is that you also have access to the OLD xbox games, which if you keep your PS2 is good, but mehhh.

There is a xbox wireless receiver you can buy, but I think any ol' receiver works. I just use an ethernet cable to hook up my 360.

You folks can add me if you want, my tag is krazydakman

I might have to get Fable 2, wife sacrificing looks fun...

laugh.gif I'd keep my PS2 regardless, it looks like :censor: because it's all dirty and dusty (I should give it a wipe down and vacuum the vents one day). The internet play isn't so important to me in the beginning, so I could hold out for awhile on buying it. Plus, when I'm back in Southern Ontario for the summer vacation, I have the cheapest connection my grandparents could afford so it doesn't handle multiple connections very well, and would be very slow.

What about memory and other accessories? Older consoles needed memory sticks or cards, but newer ones seem without (i.e. my wii doesn't need it, but can use an SD card to store data).

(And kinda sorry for hijacking your thread Shiri sad.gif but it seemed pointless to start a new thread for the exact same thing.)

Desitrus' comments about sacrificing made me very interested in that game. suspicious.gif

360s have interchangable hard drives, PS3s do not. I'm fairly sure they both have special memory cards too (I know the 360 does) but I dunno anything about those, I don't need my data portable.

I think you have to buy a HD with both, not sure about the memory card situation.

Np. At least some of the information will be pertinent to me and the poll was screwed up by a bunch of people who didn't read the first post and fanboys who didn't consider the other option anyway. tongue.gif

PS3s have built in hard drives. The $200 version of the 360 doesn't have a hard drive, but the rest do, and you can remove the hard drive and get a bigger one later if you want. PS3s you're stuck with what you originally bought.

But does it come with or does it have to be bought and would an average game store? (EB Games is all I have access to in Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury would probably have more but a four hour drive on a Greyhound to buy a gaming system seems.. pointless and if I crossed the border to the States, I doubt any warrenty I'd get would really work in Canada)

Seems to be so, I was pretty set on the PS3 thanks to Folklore but this thread made me go check out more reviews on the systems itself, the game lists and reviews of the games and upcoming games.
Edit: I was ninja'd, though part of my question is unanswered. huh.gif
Acrune2008-10-28 03:45:31
I ninjad your post with the answers to most of your questions. Not sure if you can get hard drives at EB Games since I go to best buy for my stuff, but they aren't hard to find, so its possible.

Edit: They're on the website: http://www.ebgames.com/browse/search.aspx?...tt=hard%20drive

Edit squared: Dont buy the hard drive separate though, get the $300 version of the 360, comes with a hard drive and a wireless controller instead of a wired. Its a much better deal.

My lineup is looking like: MGS4; Dead Space; Disgaea 3; Devil May Cry 4; FEAR; Fallout 3; WipEout HD; Valkyria; Ninja Gaiden Sigma. At least to start with. Kind of bad for being out for 2 years but there isn't a huge amount of good stuff on the 360 yet either (and yes I know some of those are nonexclusive.)

NOOO Fable 2 is awful! possibly the most overhyped game sense, mmmhm Fable 1?

360 games I own include Cod4 Gears, Mass effect, Oblivion, and Dead or alive 4
Acrune2008-10-28 04:00:06
Actually, everyone I've talked to loves it, and it wasn't over-hyped because Molyneux said that the game wasn't everything that he wanted it to be tongue.gif
Daganev2008-10-28 04:01:41
When is Fable/Fable 2 comming out on the Pc? tongue.gif or Wii
Acrune2008-10-28 04:03:07
Who cares, get a 360 tongue.gif
Daganev2008-10-28 04:03:38
my wallet cares.

Actually right now I'm playing Morowind III for the first time... go me!
Acrune2008-10-28 04:05:26
There's only one Morrowind. Its elderscrolls III tongue.gif

I want to like the elderscrolls games, but my attention span just isn't long enough to accomplish anything in them. Plus I never have the potions I need. losewings.gif

Loved "Elder scrolls 3" Morrowind. If you can get away from the poor combat system now and days Its still a beauty. Massive content massive storyline everything is great. Plus If you have it for com, you can mod it terribly easy and add alot of extra play time on to its already large amount.
Unknown2008-10-28 04:09:55
technically you can upgrade the PS3 hard drive if you so see fit, it's just not as advertised as the 360's is. It takes a 2.5 sata drive.
