Loved Oblivion. The free roaming style of game play suits me perfectly. You are free to do pretty much ANYTHING you want to do. I played it for 40+ hours without doing the main story line. SO much stuff to do and things to try.
When I finally beat it, I was in charge of like 4 different orgs, including a secret assassin's org called the Black Hand, the warrior's guild, and my personal favorite, the thieves guild. The Thieving quests were my favorite.
The sheer number and variety of side quests is staggering.
I can see how it could not fit some people's playing style, but to call it bad is just...wrong. SO WRONG.
And I say PS3.

One minor niggle though: I prefer the PS3 controllers to the Xbox ones, but I prefer the PS2 ones to the PS3. Why did they screw with the back shoulder buttons?
that bugged me at first too, but it's something you can get use to if you let it.
My theory on the new shoulder buttons is that they were trying for a wider range of pressure sensitivity. The best example would be for racing games, instead of lightly pressing a flat button, you can now pull the trigger to the degree that you would be pressing on a gas peddle.
