Okay, so I'm trying to get some basic triggers for mindset switching and debating in Nexus. So far my attempts have not gone well, and I was wondering if someone out there had already been successful at this and could help me out. And I am sticking with Nexus, so suggestions that I get a different system will probably be ignored.

With Nexus, I've found that the best way is just to get some aliases of the mindsets and the debate attacks, and switch between them manually, and maybe some echoes if you aren't lazy.
No need for triggers. Unless I'm mistaken, most of the other systems have rock/paper/scissor style triggers anyways.

The best way I've found when debating is just having echoes on what you are debated with and what mindsets they are defending with. If you trigger mindset changing on what you are debated with, it is very easy to find a pattern and debate accordingly. Generally a bad idea.
To use these echoes, just import them in the archives section. You will need to CONFIG WRAPWIDTH 0. It'll make things look a bit weird, but you'll get used to it. I just used to change it to wrapwidth 0 for debating and then back to 80 once I was done. You will also need to create your own macros for changing mindsets, styles of debate, etc.
