Those perfect reviews concern, I just started to play it, and my sig other has already gotten far into it, and both of us agree the use of the Oblivion engine is hurting the game. While they fixed a lot of its issues, some of the jarring quirks of Oblivion are showing through... plus there are a few critical bugs...
this is an 8-10 or maybe a 9, but perfect, not likely. (And with that I realize how depraved we've been with computer/console games because 10 years ago, some of the bugs I've fund, and minor glitches would of put this game in the 5-6 range.)

I hope the combat system is better than oblivion... man I hate that type of combat.

Way better. And for the people out there who thought that the cinematic-style VATS system would suck in various ways, it doesn't. It really doesn't.

Hmm. I am enjoying most of it, although it feels like being a melee would be bad news. Fortunately, I'm a sneaking energy weapons sniper and I kill nearly everything in the game instantly.

No idea how far in the storyline I am, actually...I was randomly exploring and found Daddy, when all I'd done on the main quest so far was...leave the Vault. Heh.
