No, I mean it slightly differently.

Hypothetical situation: Celina is town. We agree, today, to lynch her tomorrow if she doesn't die tonight. We lynch someone else. The mafia, knowing our plans, target someone other than Celina. Celina doesn't die, and so we lynch her the next day.

Not being nightkilled is not proof of guilt.

No, I knew exactly what you meant. It was more of a sarcastic exactly, I didn't think about it that way.
Unknown2008-10-31 05:52:43
Can't we just have an investigator investigate her tonight?
Celina2008-10-31 05:55:08
I think repeatedly trying to insinuate that scum should try and night gank me is pretty suspicious. If you are an SK and win with no one, you are getting someone out of the way and you can use your nightkill on someone else, and if you are scum and I'm a townie, it gets you a lynch so you can save your night kill.

By "You don't want to" I meant...you don't want to lynch a townie.

If it's THAT important, I can tell you my power, it's pretty unspectacular.

also: Yeah I think Furien is right about Shiri. Just a very aggressive playing style.

@Arix: What the fuzz? If you are going to try and flame me, even in a mafia game, at least try to make it fit in with the discussion. You don't even make sense.
Celina2008-10-31 05:58:53
Also, I'm not following the "if she doesn't die tonight, lynch her tomorrow" logic.

You would need a reason to lynch me in the first place, which I'm not seeing.
Casilu2008-10-31 06:02:41
It would help if you gave a power, I think.
Celina2008-10-31 06:05:03
50% chance to dodge nightkills.

Now the scum knows, and instead of targeting me and possibly wasting a night, they will probably just target someone else.

I am a little confused as to why people are pushing others to either role claim or reveal their powers ....

No idea. Come on, someone, be suspicious so I can nightkill someone tonight.

...

Did nobody else notice this?

Did I miss something earlier where casilu claimed to be able to kill people?

Did you actually read the whole line?

Ok. I cannot read and understand things at 1:40 am. .... hide.gif

I don't think we need to lynch Celina or start making assumptions or even challenge as to what the scum will be doing tonight. It's bad strategy and remember we were only voting her for not talking in the first place.

Silferras has a point that she shouldn't have been hinting like that, but "if the scum don't kill her, lynch her tomorrow" is just bound to fail. And if it was Silferras that posted that (will check and maybe vote after this post) she normally would know better than that.

THAT SAID I just scrolled up and saw a partial roleclaim post from Celina. Celina, you need to give us a whole role now because we already have a kill-dodging ability and there'd better be a good reason to believe we have two on town's side in this game. Also that doesn't explain why you were hinting earlier. I'm not buying "you don't want to lynch a townie." Normally the words you used would imply you were a doctor or cop or something and that it'd be a larger setback to the town than normal.

And I said I know, I just honestly didn't think of that.
Unknown2008-10-31 07:03:16
Also, I agree with Shiri - the implication given in the initial post didn't feel like she was hiding a nightkill avoidance ability. In fact, now that we know what she has, it's even more suspicious that she would refuse to divulge it even at one vote (?) away from being lynched. If her intent had been to keep herself from getting picked on by scum at night, there is absolutely no reason why she wouldn't have made that ability clear from the outset, since it would only have deterred a nightkill rather than 'helping scum.' Very strange. Keeping my vote where it is.
Unknown2008-10-31 07:04:48
And yeah, missed Esano's post. He explicitly said that not being nightkilled is not a proof of guilt.

I don't need to do anything. You don't need a roleclaim. You have my power. I have a chance to avoid night kills, which is the main mafia kill method. Won't save me from a lynch.

@Silf: My refusal to roleclaim was based simply off the fact that I don't bow to band wagon role claim demands. If people want to play dumb, they can play dumb, but it doesn't mean I have to as well. My intent wasn't to avoid a nightkill. I wasn't in any risk of a nightkill other than a random picking until others started telling me (repeatedly) I was implying that I had some super skill. It was to avoid a lynch, a lynch that you were a part of. THEN I told my power for two reasons. 1) The mafia wouldn't target me if there was a chance I'd avoid it and they believed everyone stating I implied I was important and 2) to get people off my back.

Saying I can avoid a nightkill doesn't, in any ways, save me from a town lynching other than providing people with peace of mind.

Your logic doesn't add up.

vote: Silferras

Also: Shaddus avoided a lynch, which is not the same as my power that avoid night kills only.
