Decided that when I get my elite I'm going to take a few more shots at zimoru.

Hippogriffs are not cute. They were never meant to be cute or pretty.

Been feeding him meatfeed, any other way to make him fiercer? I'm training him as well (I heard that gave some of the more special looks?)

I keep checking this thread's bumps to see how the Chimaera will turn out. And then they don't.

It's like the Elder Wars 2.0.

The first one I bought, which I gave to Jinxy, should be maturing at the end of the Lusty month! biggrin.gif

Yay, beastie matured. Of course, being the experimenter that I am, I blew a few credits to see what all else he'd look like (which I'll leave others to see), but I happily settled with this:

CODE
a great midnight chimaera with scaly skin

His scaly tail curling between four fearsome legs, a great midnight chimaera with scaly skin
crouches quietly within his surroundings.

Fearsome and great in size, this great midnight chimaera is the embodiment of all gone wrong in
creation. Appearing as a mishmash of animal parts, the chimaera prowls on four massive legs, the
front of which resemble a lion's mighty paws covered in blue wyvern scales and mighty talons, and
the hind legs those of the lithe goat. A thick, muscular body makes up the mighty bulk of the
chimaera's frame, broad and covered in shimmering blue scales at the torso and narrower and lithe at
the haunches. A scaly tail snakes from the beast's rear, serpentine in its movement and tipped with
a long, stinging barb. The snarling head of a lion, thick with a flowing mane of ebon fur, crowns
the beast's front at the shoulders. The eyes are sapphire and a twin pair of oversized black horns
curl back from the beast's head and twist into deadly points. He is called 'Dallach.'

The meat-type feeds wound up with this and a number of fairly similar variations. Cute.

This was with a mostly oat diet.

Uh huh. If you divorce me to marry his chimaera, I demand the manse and monthly alimony payments.

I love the chimaera, but there seems to be oddly few variation. Those bolded are the only variations I have seen so far. Those underlined are what I hope may vary. When mine matures, I want to be able to eat my words. smile.gif

Where does one buy these chimaeras? And what about hippogriffs? I realise I've been away for a looong time.
Ileein2010-10-21 10:54:01
They're purchased using dingbats at the Czigany Wayfaire, which you have just missed, alas.

Given mostly oats and fruits, with a handful of vegetables:

a golden chimaera with glowing white wings

Fearsome and great in size, this golden chimaera is the embodiment of all gone wrong in creation. Appearing as a mishmash of animal parts, the chimaera prowls on four massive legs, the front of which resemble a lion's mighty paws covered in blue wyvern scales and mighty talons, and the hind legs those of the lithe goat. A thick, muscular body makes up the mighty bulk of the chimaera's frame, broad and covered in shimmering blue scales at the torso and narrower and lithe at the haunches. A purple feathered tail snakes from the beast's rear, serpentine in its movement and tipped with a long, stinging barb. The snarling head of a lion, thick with a flowing mane of ebon fur, crowns the beast's front at the shoulders. The eyes are blue and a twin pair of oversized black horns curl back from the beast's head and twist into deadly points. He is called 'Myrrae.'

He's um, very BLUE. I don't know about the golden part.
Eventru2010-10-21 13:30:10
I believe the intonation is that, what isn't covered in blue scales, is covered in golden fur (probably like a lion's pelt). It comes together in my head, anyways smile.gif

(No, I didn't write it!)
