My beast is better than your beast!

Out of curiosity, is it possible for the druid/mage guilds to trade their beast to somebody not in said guild? I understand the inherits will be lost, but I'm curious if its possible to get a stag beast as a SG for instance.

You can't trade guild beasts, no.
Enyalida2011-11-07 00:29:21
You can get a stag as a SG if you buy a custom pet and describe it as a stag, I bet.
Turnus2011-11-07 02:25:59
Well yeah, I was wondering about a non-artie way to do it! I could get one as a SG by going druid then switching back too, to be fair. But eh, kinda metagamey.

Enyalida:

Beast... breeding?

Yeah... Like having Player A's mammoth mate with Player B's. Resulting offspring (belonging to whoever had the female beast) has stats/traits influenced by the parents'. Idk. Just another gold sink and way to obtain truly "unique" (ooo mutations...) beasts.

The only way for that to be a gold sink would be if it cost more than the beast's incubation form and an average amount of feeds for appearance combined. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be able to breed, but I'm not sure it's in the cards.

Maybe they don't become actual beasts but little pets you can play with using the dingbat arties, and the parent beasts can play with their young as well.

I decided my wyvern was too boring, so after some feed adjustment...

You lead a large wyvern with leather wings out of a stall of Blue City Stables.

You administer a dose of zimoru reagent to your wyvern. A golden glow surrounds him which shimmers and you watch in amazement as he transforms into a glistening wyvern with butterfly wings.

Fearsome and great in size, this highstrung chimaera is the embodiment of all gone wrong in creation. Appearing as a mishmash of animal parts, the chimaera prowls on four massive legs, the front of which resemble a lion's mighty paws covered in blue wyvern scales and mighty talons, and the hind legs those of the lithe goat. A thick, muscular body makes up the mighty bulk of the chimaera's frame, broad and covered in shimmering blue scales at the torso and narrower and lithe at the haunches. He possesses a smooth, feathery pelt, while a green feathered tail snakes from the beast's rear, serpentine in its movement and tipped with a long stinging barb. The snarling head of a lion, thick with a flowing mane of ebon fur, crowns the beast's front at the shoulders. The eyes

are light brown and a twin pair of oversized black horns curl back from the beast's head and twist into deadly points. He is called 'Ashel.'

A highstrung chimaera with a smooth, feathery pelt looks to be crushingly strong.

A mix of all three, most recently fishfeed.

here's my first attempt at raising a beast, my wyvern:

With light grey eyes, a slender wyvern with rainbow butterfly wings prowls around here.

Similar to a large winged lizard, the wyvern has a powerful set of clawed hind legs and two smaller front legs. Her rainbow butterfly wings span wider than she is long, and muscles ripple up and down her body. This wyvern is slender and has a long powerful tail. Upon a sinuously long neck, rests the wyvern's serpentine head, with powerful jaws filled with sharp teeth. Her surprisingly expressive eyes are light grey. She trills a playful tune to herself.

Also currently selling her.

Surrounded by forks of red lightning, a crimson thunderbird spreads her broad, translucent wings here, amber eyes alight with a considerate intellect.

You administer a dose of zimoru reagent to your thunderbird. A golden glow surrounds her which shimmers and you watch in amazement as she transforms into a bloodstone thunderbird.

...jealoooous.

Of bloodstone? Eghghh :(

I traded my golden snow phoenix for a chunky one, and after a lot of fish, eggs, and meat, this is what it zimoru'd to:

You administer a dose of zimoru reagent to your chunky snow phoenix with rimed wings. A golden glow surrounds him which shimmers and you watch in amazement as he transforms into a spirited snow phoenix with wings of emerald ice.

Eddies of painful cold swirl around the graceful form of a spirited snow phoenix with wings of emerald ice.

The rare sight of a spirited snow phoenix is resplendent and shimmering, his wings of emerald ice refracting light amidst numerous facets and edges. Snow swirls in eddying patterns about his slender, swan-like frame, chilling his glacial body and sharp feathers with fractals of frost that disappear in a whisper. Still, icy plumes crest and flare upon the avian's forehead like a crown of icicles. Eyes of starry crystals gaze with a chilled impassiveness, a cold demeanour that is regal and dignified. As the phoenix beats his slender wings, eddies of painful cold are born that drive the temperature to plummet dramatically. He is called 'Baconbits.'

For some reason, I feel like the name is not well-suited to the beast...

You administer a dose of zimoru reagent to your pony. A golden glow surrounds him which shimmers and you watch in amazement as he transforms into a deep red, willowy pony with crimson wings.
Unknown2012-01-20 06:34:12
You always get such pretty red things!
Aldani2012-01-20 06:39:47
Phoebus:

I don't know how, since I keep feeding them different things, but I'm quite happy with them! I'm a little sad my thunderbird isn't red anymore, but she's still prettier than she was.

Edit: I may have also just bought a mammoth and a goat, so we'll see how those turn out. I don't have a problem, really I don't.
Ytran2012-01-20 06:48:15
You do.
Aldani2012-01-20 06:50:40
I do have one problem, but it is unrelated to beasts. It is this annoying demigod who never logs in to make me greatrobes or fly me places.
