My beast is better than your beast!

I swear, it's a good thing you can have as many beasts as you want. laugh.gif
Kharaen2008-10-30 18:44:22
You don't even have to pay stable fees, if you can keep them all leveled up.

SHE GROWED UP AND SHE ISN'T FAT!

(Fed meat and fruitfeed, not done administering reagents, 14 bodoru, 10 suporu so far)

A hulking, white mare with a silvery tail

This mare has a hulking frame, with sleek muscles denoting speed and grace
whenever she moves. She occasionally tosses her luxurious mane as she whinnies
and snorts, and her grey eyes peer around dolefully, taking in the world. Her
sleek coat is coloured white, with a silvery tail sprouting proudly from her
body. Blinking occasionally and swishing her tail, she has the forebearing look
of a creature waiting for something interesting to happen.

Fed pure meat, enough for 300 body train points, plus more to stop her from starving.
Aison2008-10-31 05:59:11
Does anyone have the table made on what determines what?

I guess lots of oat+veggie = golden coat?
Unknown2008-10-31 07:18:29
I'm not sure, but since there's three types of reagents, maybe there's three types of reagents, maybe different ones stand for different colors?

Like, maybe Meat is dark red and Oats are light red, and Fruit is bright yellow and so on and so forth.

Maybe? confused.gif

I think Estarra mentioned in a post it's actually purely random, the feeds just increase the chance of the beast getting a certain appearance.
Kiradawea2008-10-31 08:22:15
I heard that beasts also evolve depending on where they are raised. So it's a Celestial mount mayhaps?
Xiel2008-10-31 08:25:16
Don't think so. Thoros' was raised in the Mag stables and it's golden too.
Arin2008-10-31 11:10:03
Thoros is a closet Celestian.
Sarrasri2008-10-31 16:47:48
I think the trick to getting a fat beast is lots of mind or spirit feed with not so much body feed. So remember to feed your oats, unless you want a fat beast. suspicious.gif

100% Meat Feed:

CODE
a skeletal, white stallion with cadaverous wings

This skeletal stallion is a strong, powerful creature, and his well-defined
muscles gleam beneath a white coat. His mane is slightly tangled from his wild
runs, and his tail swishes incessantly as his brown eyes blink slowly. He lets
out an occasional snort as he paws at the ground, throwing his head back with
inherent nobility, and his body is graced with cadaverous wings. He is called
'Meatbag.'

How is this a mount for a child of Light?!

wub.gif My ponies, but I believe that my experimentation with them is over. Onto the wyverns!
Arin2008-11-01 21:47:01
I reckon fat horses should weigh more than normal ones and skeletal ones should weigh less...
Xiel2008-11-01 21:48:36
Would make sense, so I agree. thumup.gif

I wish my all-fruitfeed horse wasn't so..generic though. -sigh-

Sure! The moment Weight actually matters in Lusternia...

Nudgenudge Admins?
Arin2008-11-02 04:32:22
Well I assume weight is in line with description. Now description matters not in Lusternia other than RP and to make the description valid, shouldn't weight reflect the description?
Kharaen2008-11-02 05:11:53
No, weight is not part of a description. Mobiles and objects are assigned weights.
Sylphas2008-11-02 17:43:20
Weight seems to be entirely random most times.

I'm at a loss to really picture some of these horses. I don't usually think of a fat horse as also being sleek and luxurious. Also, how does a skeletal mount have well defined muscles? Most things you'd describe as skeletal are anorexic looking and ready to die.
Serella2008-11-02 17:55:22
So far, I've concluded that:

Oats: Make your horse larger and generally more fit
Meat: Gives you a huge bodybuilder horse, or somewhat evil-looking
Fish: Not sure, same as meat?
Vegetables: Give you a fat horse
Fruit: Usually gives you a normal/generic horse
Eggs: Same as fruit

These are just guesses, and combinations of feeds could result in a completely different horse. But the moral is, eat your oats! dribble.gif
