Lack of Interaction Between Novices and Older Members of a guild

I appreciate the responses, everyone.

I do realize that older members have better things to do, so I didn't mind it for the first few days. After a while though, it felt less like the members are doing other things, and more like I or other younger members were just being ignored. I also tried playing at different times, trying to find the time when many members were around, but it didn't change much.

I did use the Collegium and the Maganora city channel for some of the more general questions. Both channels were very helpful.

Anyway, I have since suicided the character, and will try a new guild. Should this happen again, I guess I'll try and stick it out a little bit longer.

You might list what you are looking for, a few of the guilds have very good novice programs and lots of active players. Topguilds is a decent indicator, but you need to look at Member Score along with Novice Score to ensure that you have a lot of active people in and out.

I wonder, does anyone know if the ur'Guard have a law against leaving? I've been thinking about switching to another knighthood guild. Does anyone know of which others don't suffer from this problem?

Meh my only memory of the ur'guard was the hour of bashing with punch because with five guild members around (a leader nonetheless and before collegiums) not one helped out the newbie warrior.

I unno, just soured me on the guild because I would have expected a warrior guild to have a few dusty swords laying around to help the youngin's

Most do, it comes down to who is paying attention and who is not.

Since things look kind of negative so far, I'd just like to add that when I made my ur'Guard alt, Bhairan helped me out with training/weapons, which was pretty cool, so it's probably a timing thing.

I ended up not staying around though because low level warrior bashing is probably the worst thing ever.

This is largely why collegiums were introduced. So that even when older members aren't around to help, chances are a teacher from the collegium will be.

Also, kudos to Kayde for being so willing to help. She's been around since the beginning and was willing to help then too, good to see she hasn't changed.

It isn't an issue of timing, because I've tried at different times of the day.
