If they wind up not being fun, I eventually forget about them is all.

I've had several alts since I started playing Lusty, usually just Denust and one alt at a time. I can't handle more than two characters at once. Since metagaming has always been a concern for me, I've never held on to a Magnagoran alt for very long - I got a Nihilist out of novicehood, but that was the furthest any have gotten. And because I'm a horrid combatant, I don't even really care if Celest is getting raided because there's really nothing I can do to prevent it with Denust and nothing I can do to contribute to it with a lowbie alt.

So I settled on Glomdoring, partly because I made a shadowdancer when Shayle was still about and I fell in love with Glom's backstory/ambience/etc. And speaking of which, my Blacktalon alt hasn't been deleted yet! Definitely going to play him before Christmas rolls around.

Alts are good if used for roleplay.

If done properly, as well, they're good for seeing people you know on your other alts in a different view.

Although if IC/OOC isn't separated properly, that could pose a problem.

Back to the Rolplay: Whatever your muse - I've done it. Even if it's just to suit my mood.
