I did early voting. We used these gigantic palm pilots in a box.

I'm about 95% sure Obama will win, but I voted for McCain anyways. Obama is just the best politician and campaigner this country has ever seen.

I'm just excited that this stupid election will finally be over.

Then we'll all just be waiting for Obama to get assasinated. It's sad, but I'll put money on Biden being President in the next 4 years.

I don't buy that angle, my guess is that for the first two years he'll be kept under lock and key, with no less than a fleet of pope mobiles at his bidding. Up to this point, more outspoken (and previously more prominent) african-americans in leadership positions, all with less protection than the president has by default (let alone a president "at risk") have all gone without being killed.

Buy it? He's not even the president and there have been highly publicized assination plots. Comparing Barack Obama to any other african american political leader just isn't valid. The man is a freaking celebrity. He's highly publicized, hated by more than a few, african amerian, and the closest thing to a liberal president we've ever had. Attempts will be made, it's just a question of when and if they will succeed.

If Americans should know anything by this point, they should know our security is, and will never be, flawless.

Billy-Bob just won't be able to get close with a sawed-off. Do you think W isn't hated worldwide enough for various external and even internal groups to want to kill him? Good lord. American Security may not be perfect, but you can believe that the security available to even congressmen isn't up to par with the president himself. Especially one under such an "assassination watch."

In any case, I stayed up all night to vote, and walked to and from the polls!

I love Election Day.

Not only do I get to vote, but I get to leave work early. I'm gonna leave at 3 today instead of 6. I don't need all that time to get to my voting place, but I'm gonna take it!

Most historic why?

I imagine because it looks very good that you'll have your first African American President.

Either the first black president, or the first female vice president. One would be more historic than the other but both would be historic.

Well, if McCain wins, there will be the first female Vice President. If Obama wins, there will be the first black President. I feel fairly certain it qualifies as one of the most historic.

Ah, it's just that. I thought it might be something about the coming years being critical or something.
