"And, for my first act, I am dissolving the US Senate. All hail Emperor Obama and his endless chambers of screams! There is space for every dissident!"

I dunno how well that would work. After all, we have the guns

But he has the armour.
... SOMEONE has to.

Am I the only one who thinks the amount of money CNN puts into to shiny gadgetry to keep the shallow minded people interested in the numbers of the Election is ridiculous?
I mean, they have Holograms now...seriously.

It's a goofy lookin hologram too. I saw it earlier and it made her head look freakishly large!

You should see the money Obama spends on dumb stuff He spent what, $400k on his flight to Hawaii and back?

But is being donated to charity after, I think.
More importantly- bringing up stuff like that (Acrune) causes really pointless arguments. DID YOU KNOW SARAH PALIN WENT BACK TO ALASKA TO VOTE LOL? It's just the media zooming in on every detail.
Unknown2008-11-05 03:48:40
Yeah really, I mean how dumb can you be spending 400K to see your dying Grandmother, the lady that raised you for a large portion of your life, for the last time.

Dumb stuff... like spending a bit of time with his dying grandmother.
She passed away yesterday morning.
Now, perhaps he overpaid... but unless you've never had a death in the family (or someone very close to you at least), I don't think you can call the act in general dumb. And even then, I'd expect you to think otherwise once something of the sort happens to you.

At this point, it is pointless, and I'm just bringing it up because I'm displeased at the way the country is going. Also rather pissed at the media. Everyone knows that Palin had a $150000 dress, but hardly anyone seems to know that the clothes were donated to charity, and that Obama spent campaign money on a personal trip to hawaii on an airplane that costs $20000 an hour for fuel and crew. Thats a waste of money, a waste of energy, and a detriment to the environment, not that the Obama fanboys realize/care.

Doesn't mean anything good will come up, it's more to go with your second point. It's pointless to bring it up.

Funny, I can fly to Hawaii and back for about $398000 cheaper. He must not have shopped around.
Edit: For clarity, I don't care that he went. I care how he went, and that he used campaign money so frivolously on a personal trip.
Furien2008-11-05 03:53:06
Considering he'll possibly be the President, I'd figure he'd like some privacy during the whole ordeal while he still can, though I'm not sure it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars more just for that.

Actually, I did know what would happen with the clothes. But you neglected to mention why the trip was made.
It's the same thing, ignoring half of the issue while bringing it into view.

It doesn't matter why he went! $400000! Four-hundred-freaking-thousand-dollars! You can use personal jets cheaper then that,

If you book a long ways in advance, sure. And if you don't have to worry about dropping your campaign cold for two days, and trying to minimize as much of the end-time (outside of the trip) as possible.
I still find you claiming that a trip to visit his dying grandmother one last time was 'dumb' to be... well...

Are you so positive that everything is based on just the flight?
