Since you can only do this twice, we should really maximize what we can get out of it.
Amarysse2008-11-20 18:56:11
I said could, because I've never had an ability like that. I'm just theorizing, because it's pretty potent, and I don't want to see it wasted trying to fix a mistake that could've been avoided.

We're better off using it separately on two people/statements, I think, rather than risking the second usage if we screw up the first one. (e.g. Daganev/Arix combine in one "test" sentence, but some aspect of it isn't true, so the whole thing reads as false... and now we have to try to sort out which part of which statement was a lie.)

I really hope that made sense. Sentence structure is not my friend today.

Amarysee, if it comes out that shaddus says that the post is a lie, then you lynch the person who lied. If someone isn't certain that their post isn't 100% truthful, then they wouldn't post it.

How are you going to know who lied, if there are multiple people involved?

I'm not sure if you're not following my logic, or being deliberately difficult.

What??

Ok, I don't think you are understanding me.

Say Joe Posts that he knows that Joe and Bob and Sam are all innocent, town, etc.

If the results of the post are a lie, then Joe gets lynched.

Joe would therefore, not post, unless he was 100% certain (or thought that the post would never get investigated)
Daganev2008-11-20 19:05:18
another example would be.

"I so and so, investigate X Y and Z, and X, Y and Z and myself are innocent and town etc.

Amarysse2008-11-20 19:12:56
Then how can you ask people to post something like that, when we have no concrete way of knowing if the other person is telling the truth?

Hypothetical. If Arix posts it, thinking you're town, and you aren't, he gets lynched. You're asking for one person to risk what is, essentially, suicide, because we can't rule out the possibility that the other person is scum.

What part of being 100% certain don't you understand?
Daganev2008-11-20 19:16:18
If nobody is able to come up with such a post, then we lose the opportunity, but I have a strong hunch that there are people out there who can make such a post.
Daganev2008-11-20 19:24:59
Anyone have a list of all the current claims?
Daganev2008-11-20 19:27:38
oh, forgot I still had my vote on rika

unvote

I'm going to go back to vote Thiden

Dugan puts up a good case against him.

...We have no way of being 100% certain? Right now, Rika's ability is the only surefire way we have to confirm anything, as far as I can tell. I certainly can't investigate, and I don't have any psychic powers. I also don't completely trust anyone who hasn't already been irrefutably confirmed as being town.

You may not be 100% certain, but the person writing the post would be.

HOW?! How can we be certain? The best we can do right now is educated guesses!
Rika2008-11-20 19:32:30
Okay, I'm just going to keep it simple. One person per lie detection.
Rika2008-11-20 19:33:25
1:Rika - Has some wierd vote restriction
2:Arix - confirmed Edgar (?) - Chainsaw daykill.
3:Myrkr - claimed Biggs (town) - Mason with Wedge (deceased).
4:Daganev - says that Arix is town.
5:Kiradawea
6:Amarysse
7:Thiden
8:Krin - reliable Mog (town) - Investigator & ability to change Umaro's vote.
9:Aerotan - claims Umaro
10:Casilu - confirmed Strago (deceased town) - Mason with Relm.
11:Dugan
12:Silvanus - ? - claimed 50% chance of targetted abilities failing.
13:Esano
14:Celina - confirmed Celes (deceased town) - Protector ability.
15:Silferras - confirmed Wedge (deceased town) - Mason with Biggs.
16:Ilyarin. - Gau

Right now, I want to test Daganev. Any objections?
Amarysse2008-11-20 19:35:36
Nope.

Also, I think it was mentioned that Krin's only a tracker, not an investigator.

No objections, he is acting oddly.

He said his role shows him what people have done, right? If that's it, then he's a tracker.

Umm Rika, we have gained a lot more information, since this list was last posted... Why didn't you update it?

Also, why arn't you claiming your name? I can't find any charachters that would have a truth detecting ability on the wiki.

1:Rika - Has some wierd vote restriction, claims 2 shot lie detector.
2:Arix - confirmed Edgar (?) - Chainsaw daykill
3:Myrkr - claimed Biggs (town) - Mason with Wedge (deceased).

14:Celina - confirmed Celes (deceased town) - Protector ability.

Screw it, there are only 4 other people to do a truth test on, and I'd hate to see this ability wasted.

Sorry Arix.
I am Sabin, I am edgar's brother. We know that each of us are innocent and town.

We need Relm to reveal themselves, and then we only have to test 1 of 3 people.

I also happen to know that Thera is in the game, so if they could reveal themselves, it would be easier for Rika to narrow down who to spend the two shot lie detections on.
