How about a fair trade then? I give you a free, decent combat system, and you teach me how to fight and win.
Unknown2009-09-04 23:17:58
Hrm, I remember hearing something about $8000 weapons.
Sir, if that doesn't help you, you should email the Admins about your iNuke button, it should be in there somewhere.
Plus, you do fine, I'm just slippery as many people can testify, unless you choke/sap whore. Then, you win.

You can post bugs, feature requests, or anything else you like here or in a PM, but that's not what gets me to fix things. And, I am a bit touchy lately with certain people using my own combat system against me and other people getting annoyed when I won't help them just because they didn't pay for the support contract.
I suppose putting in a backdoor that lets you bot people using your system would be poor public relations.

Wait.. let me get this straight. Are you really ragging out about someone who uses your system being your enemy?Unknown2009-09-05 01:36:18

General frustrations combined with one or two individuals who use Treant, but it's mostly just the state of the game getting to me, really.
Unknown2009-09-05 05:38:12
Yeah, I feel you, I really hope I'm not one of those people. I'd pay for a support contract even if I didn't use it that much, cause your system has saved me a ton, and you're a generally nice guy!

I want to know who! Also, quit using flails. First lesson in winning fights. credits plz.
Dynami2009-09-09 04:05:25
Okay, since I did something really wrong, I had to start from scratch to update Treant. But, I am getting a message saying "C:\\Treant\\template.mcl File not found" whenever I want to "preload defaults from an existing world". I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I unzipped the Treant file, put it in C:\\Treant, made the shortcut, and apparently the "sandbox" part was already set to true.
Unknown2009-09-09 04:21:28
redownload the Treant package from the site.
Unknown2009-09-09 21:30:01
Wow Iasmos, I highly recommend Treant to anyone who would like to become an independent thinker and scripter, it has opened up so many pathways for combat and other things! ^^

Deal, but I demand you upgrade it to an amazing combat system.

Hey, even I don't take full advantage of all the options in the system. It's far more flexible than 99% of you realize.
I do consider each and every serious suggestion sent to my inbox, too, and so far I've gotten nothing from Gero...

That's because I don't use your system, thus don't know much about it other than what I hear. So maybe I'll try it out and see how it works over the weekend. Also I can give you Nihilist stuff if you need it, just send me a tell.

Your system could use more accessibility. It can't be that hard for you to add in commands to set sipping values or such on the fly. Considering a few people including myself can't code their way out of a paper bag it would be a good idea.
Unknown2009-09-11 12:53:28
All that is documented, and the rest is covered by a support contract. There's already a lot provided for free, with the caveat that you're willing to either use it as-is or get under the hood yourself. Making an alias to change the sipping values is something each user does for himself because only he knows what values he wants, and you're using a bit of Lua script instead of a pre-made alias.

Um...
Buy a support contract? I've also covered how to adjust sipping priorities on the fly easily in another forum post so just use the forum search function?
Iasmos has been nice enough to give his system away for free, what you think of the system is entirely up to you, but personally I think its a very decent base to code your own stuff or buy addons from other people for. Iasmos will respond to emails quickly if you have support issues and you just need to ask nicely. I think he's done more than enough in just giving his system away free, if you can't figure out how it works by yourself, pay the man for his work and get help that way.

Version 1.28 is now available to the public. Check the history for a rundown of what's been changed. I presume there are more things to be done for the recent monk updates, so if anyone knows of anything still missing, please let me know.
A big thanks to those of you who have been contributing suggestions and working with me to implement them. Some of them didn't make it into this version because I wanted to get this out sooner rather than later, but I am working on them now for the next release.
