Good system so far. content.gif Doesnt have many of the prettier things i like to see, but those are easy enough to change. One thing though, why does it eat sparkleberry before drinking? Sparkles cost alot more than refills and i find myself turning off sparkle eating while bashing after i went through like 500 in 2 hours. Maybe put it to where its at 70% or something? And gagging clotting lines and putting in a colournote or something that just says CLOTTING # TIMES or something like that, same for pipe lighting, can be spammy alot of times. And dont think im complaining heh, im really not, just ideas for features. suspicious.gif And would get the support contract, but already paying back a credit loan of 300 heh. wtf.gif But good job on the speed and such, very nice, and thanks for making it free! clap_1.gif thumup.gif

And yay first post! heh

fwiw,
the 30 credit support cost is WELL worth the investment with this system, for everyone trying to figure out stuff here. Honestly. I think with the amount of questions I have asked, he should have charged me 300. The man has the patience of a saint with this, and although his answers may not be clear at times, it makes you think through the issues and often solve them in the process, or at least know how to understand this client/script better. grin.gif content.gif

You want sparkles to fire before sipping. If you can survive off just sparkles/scroll then that leaves you open to apply health for wounds. There are also intructions about how to raise or lower when you sip/scroll/sparkle, but 70% is really low.

You could probably figure out an alias to auto turn sparkles on for combat or off for bashing.

You can gag the pipes.

What's this madness? Set modes people! Aliases that have various sip/scroll/sparkle levels for your activities and opponents. I assume this can be done in Treant, it was doable with a little know-how in Palisade.

Ayup!

And, I have no plans to do gagging or a lot of subbing. Everyone's personal tastes will vary, so I'll leave that as an exercise for the user. It's been my experience that the more things a system does for a person: a. the more complaining you get as a result of something not being perfect, and b. people are much less likely to learn how to do anything for themselves because they have very little need. Gagging (or highlighting) is easy enough, I think, and a good place to start.

Glad everyone seems to like it so far. Remember to send feedback to me via e-mail (or posting here works just as well). smile.gif

If you could change the prompt triggers to Send_to 14 instead of 12 that would be awesome.

The difference in processing is nothing, but it makes all the difference in the world for plugins that gag and replace the prompt. i.e my timestamp/health/mana tracking.

Right now, I just go in and manually change the prompt triggers to 14, but if you could just do it for us right off the bat... <3
Unknown2008-12-03 00:53:24
Okay. No problem! I wasn't aware that my triggers would have that sort of interaction with your own triggers. (I've been meaning to make my own timing thing, but got lots of other stuff to do first.)

And, to anyone who gets the "WindowCreate function not found" (or whatever) error, be sure you upgrade your MUSHclient to 4.37. The 3 is not a typo. The MUSHclient web site hasn't been updated in months and still shows 4.27 as the latest. (Hint: my Treant page has a link that takes you directly to the 4.37 download!)

Randomly at times I get this (mostly when I moving around, although I did get it sometimes when I was attacking something...):

Am I the only one that does get this?
Unknown2008-12-08 19:07:10
I get that, too. It doesn't happen often, but there's some glitch in the ATCP parsing somewhere. I'm too lazy/busy to figure out exactly why it does that and it's not such a huge problem, so I let it go. If anyone else happens to track it down and fix it, please do share. Heh.
Ayisdra2008-12-08 20:25:04
Yea, it doesn't really do anything that I can see besides just show up. As I said I get it mostly from just walking around...

Make sure you're using the latest version of mush: http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=8960

Okay, I am having this issue..I am running the latest Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04 I think?) and I got Wine and downloaded MushClient. Mush works just peachy with Wine and it was all great until I tried to get Treant. Every time I try to follow the directions for it (clicking the template, etc) it makes Mush crash. Is this because I am running it in Wine...or?

Hi! I was just wondering... is there a "choke mode" for this? wtf.gif

Just got owned by choke, because I kept on outrifting chervil, eating chervil and clotting. If there isn't (I'm not sure if that's hard to code), my best bet would probably to PAUSE and do manual stuff? (Yeah I realised how to pause AFTER I got rolled.) blackeye.gif

Choke mode is pause, yes. tongue.gif

It's case-sensitive. Lower that t and upper that i.

I can't really offer you much advice on using it in Linux. I have a Linux server, but I stick to using MUSHclient on Windows still. Did you use the /wine switch to load MUSHclient? (Really, it just omits one or two function calls internally, and they don't do much of anything, even on Windows.)

Does it crash hard? No error message or anything to report?

Most systems do not include a choke mode. This is no exception. Pause the system and tumble or otherwise get out of that room.

Run 'winecfg' and have it emulate Windows 98 for MUSHclient.exe.
