So we Magnagorans have bashed until sociopathic, and brave Lanfayr sat on Muud to see if there was something passed socio.

So its

slightly neurotic
neurotic
highly neurotic
sociopathic
psychopathic

How many levels of insanity are there? And is the continuum of the levels just more afflictions or does it do more than that? As curious as I am to find out the next level names (I probably will attempt one day out of curiousity anyways to see how much I can handle die.gif ) I have way better things to do then spend an entire day waiting for neurosis to go away.

If you wont list the names at least answer how many levels there are? shocked.gif I wanna know shocked.gif
so if one day i decide to sit on astral I will know if I've reached the last level.

Does it just start killing you from pure insanity--aside from the afflictions? I must knooooooooowwwwwwww

I'm pretty sure there's only one more level, and that's "stark raving mad."

No, after that is 'normal Ilyarin'.

In which case, Geomancers should get a special kind of insanity. XD

... and we're on the topic of Neurosis, here's an excerpt from HELP INSANITY

--

The only known method to recover one's sanity is to recouperate upon any plane that is not the astral plane. Because of the affinity cosmic guardians have with the cosmic and astral planes, they will recover their sanity slightly faster when they recuperate upon the plane they are attuned to (i.e., Celestines upon Celestia and Nihilists upon Nil).

Just wanted to check two things:
1. Do mage classes regenerate sanity faster on the Elemental Planes? I'm under the impression that the answer is no.
2. Considering that Geomancers are already 'insane' due to our being very much in touch with the Taint, would it be unreasonable to get some kind of resistance to Astral Insanity? This would, of course, be in addition to Darkchant Truth which (to me) seems pretty useless.

1) No, they don't.

2) Well, soulless insanity isn't caused by the taint, but the presence of Soulless, so it's two different things, really. Plus it would be pretty unbalanced. Plus DarkChant truth really isn't useless at all. tongue.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Astral insanity exist because of the plane's proximity to Kethuru? Additionally, isn't the Taint a byproduct of Kethuru? Therefore the two insanities could be related, if not different degrees of the same thing.

Keep in mind I'm not advocating special Geomancer protection, I'm just trying to get my lore straight
