Forging.

AFK forging is not you walking around on Prime, AFK, grabbing a limited resource because you can't be bothered to actually pay attention to your computer.

But you can't say one is wrong and not the other. Either both break AFK rules, or neither do.

Honestly, I didn't AFK forge at all when I had it (for a very short time), either.

I can indeed say that AFK harvesting is far worse than AFK forging, because it is. At least AFK forging isn't hurting anyone else, and you can do it in the privacy of your own manse where people won't think you're around / active. If you're actually walking around on Prime for 15+ minutes, AFK and harvesting a limited resource...

Well, I know I will issue that if I catch it. It is an extremely poor decision.

I'm not saying either is wrong or right, when I was an herbalist I never autoharvested while afk either.

But by choosing to sweep one under the rug and disregard it, the administration is in effect saying that other forms of afk automation are ok.

That would also be illegal/issuable.

The line is drawn at "Your auto-basher is allowed to kill things for you, but you have to actually do the movement and initiate the combat yourself." Which fits in quite easily with the harvesting-end of things as well (have to do the movement and start the harvesting yourself).

If you meant it some other way, well-- then you did, but all the responses to it read it differently from what you intended. That would indicate there was a issue with the post itself, not the readers.

Well, I still consider "harvesting" to mean that you type in "harvest xyz" whenever you get the "You have regained balance" message. I suppose I'm old fashioned that way, but not old fashioned enough to be so crazy as to do that.

Judging by (the|your) posts the word "harvesting" means "script to strip all herbs until nothing is left in the room and then do your evil maniac laugh". If I go to the Skarch Desert to harvest, I am harvesting. If I automate that, I am auto-harvesting (in the full-blown sense). It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with stripping, just with automating the entire process of harvesting. As that is not what you intended to be discussing... yes, I am indeed happy.
