Oh sure, Daganev. Point out how I'm gonna go to hell for finding it funny by using empathy.
Shurimaru2008-11-25 22:30:55
So much for the "insensitive guy" stereotype. My heart melted with empathy when I thought of how the wife must've felt. And, of course, I wanted to beat up the two-timing jerkface.
Stangmar2008-11-25 22:42:00
I imagine both of them probably wish he had been in the office.
Shurimaru2008-11-25 23:20:34
Good point.
Ardmore2008-11-26 00:24:03
Heh heh, I'll admit I laughed. Feel bad for her though.
Unknown2008-11-26 00:58:35
That sucks.
Acrune2008-11-26 00:59:49
I would say infidelity victory. If he was an honest man, he'd be dead. This way he still has a tiny chance of escaping with his life.
Lawliet2008-11-26 15:47:00
Funny, that, isn't it? Had he not deserved to die he would've, and now that he does deserve to die, he doesn't.
By that logic, justice doesn't work, so I feel a lot less guilty about being me

Since when did infidelity result in the death penalty?
secondly,
I think its safe to assume that he was cheating on his wife before 9/11.
So if he was in his office that particular day, he would have died, and then gone to his funeral, and this other woman would show up. Eventually she would likely find out that he was cheating on her before he died, and then she will have all these unkown and unsolved emotions piled up inside of her, and she will feel guilty for being happy he is dead, and all sorts of terrible things for the rest of her life.
So I don't know how him dieing in the office would have heleped anything.

It doesn't, it'd be more akin to being really upset over someone hurting you in the worst way possible and wishing they were dead for doing so.
That is what Lawliet was getting at with that.
Shurimaru2008-11-26 17:05:22
I hate being cheated on.

if he had died in the terrorist attack, do you really think people would go... Oh good he was cheating on someone he deserved to die!

No, they wouldn't have. But it doesn't mean the ex-wife there hadn't of wished that the man had been there.

Nah, this is just one of many tasteless things I've laughed at in the past two months. This one really only got a small giggle.
