No, they wouldn't have. But it doesn't mean the ex-wife there hadn't of wished that the man had been there.

I wasn't talking about the ex-wife, I was talking about what lawliet wrote, saying there is no justice etc.

@Noola: I also laughed, but I also felt bad. It was like a good opera tongue.gif

Jerkface!

That was pretty funny. Poor guy.

There IS a differance between people wanting someone to die and them deserving it, as for if he really deserved it or not... well personally the fact that he was stupid enough to say, "I'm at the office." says he is to me, seeing as she wouldn't have asked unless she knew he wasn't tongue.gif

Edit: yes, I know I'm harsh, don't judge me tongue.gif

I just demonstrated how I wind up driving off guys.

Sounds about right.

He deserves to die for cheating on his wife? Only if his wife can kill him. Otherwise, divorce.

Put them in an arena, time limit of ten minutes. Divorce if they are both still alive.

The reply to this is:

"With your phone off? In the middle of nowhere? Because if you were about town at all, how could you NOT know what's going on? Tell me where you shopped? What did you look at? Did you speak with any clerks? Did you buy anything? Lets see the receipt. Was it busy? Yes? And nobody around you was talking about incident? No? So the employees will remember you then. Good."

See, Ilyarin just demonstrated that guys are bad at making up crap.

I just demonstrated how I wind up driving off guys.

I was out on a business trip. Picking up some supplies.

Yeah. So the only possible witnesses are buried under 600 tons of rubble. And all he has to do is buy some paper and pens before going home.
Jigan2008-11-26 20:26:16
"What? Why do you sound so worried? What happened!? Thank God I went out to go visit a client. I've been in meetings all morning and my phone's been off."

Response to question someone's typing right now: "They didn't want to be disturbed and told everyone so. No one came in and told us. Apparently they shoot the messanger."

"Yes, yes, I'll be home right away. Did you want anything from the super-market?"

Which doesn't explain how he knew nothing of what's going on, or how he needed simple supplies that couldn't be found near the office, but instead required him to go two hours away with his phone off for... pens.

Now, what MIGHT work would be, "I was ahead of schedule at the office, so I decided to skip out and find a book to read in the library. I was sitting in a quiet corner reading for the last few hours, and of course, they don't want cell phones going off in there."

Which at least fits the fact pattern and accounts for the inconsistencies. It might be out of character, but given what happened, he could chalk it up to "someone looking out for him".

Now, I wasn't in NYC at the time of 9/11, but talking to a woman I know who lived in manhattan at the time, it sounds like there was no way you COULDN'T know what was going on when it happened.

Seriously, unless you were secluded in some mistresses bedroom and asleep in Jersey, if you were anywhere close to manhattan you knew what was happening. Heck, people stuck in the lincoln tunnel knew what was happening (especailly after the cloud of office papers flew in there)

I live on the Border of Brooklyn and Queens.

I saw the WTC from my school. I heard it from my school, falling. I saw the clouds raise up into the sky, and the mass of helicopters.

If you lived in ANY PART OF NYC you knew the towers fell.

...Yeah, we get the idea after three people saying the same thing. :|
Lawliet2008-11-27 00:33:47
I didn't really, sooo clueless, hell, I still don't get it, where would have have to be to know they fell at the time again? dunno.gif
