I think it would be beneficial for the village of Duum to be open PK while Soulforge is active, or at least similar to how village revolts work (allowing everyone to conglutinate for the duration). The quest itself can be a rather significant conflict quest and it ends up just being exceptionally tedious when worrying about the Avenger. It is also complicated enough so that a complete newbie would likely not be able to find the village.

Sadly, this is only one of the several things messed up with the quest.

I agree wholeheartedly with Nydekion's proposal. I can't remember ever being more disappointed in the mechanics of Lusternia than after the Duum 'battle' today, and at this point I'm about ready to put the tear in the Soulforge myself and call it a day. Good riddance.

Duum is the place just before Muud if you don't go via the sewers, it's how you get into Muud and it's a village of humans. The Dread Lord can also be found here and we all know just how much we love him. How to get in has to do with Balach, I haven't tried getting in so no idea what's involved.
