Hmm. Thanks Daganev!
I'm going to change my vote to one of those inactive non-voters.
So, Unvote. Vote Esano.
Post man! Post!

I would just like to point out that of the list of non poster non voters, Esano did give an early warning that he does not like to do random votes, and tends not to vote on the first day.
But I think we should find out what shaddus is thinking, and see if his role can explain his bizzare actions at all.

But that doesn't mean he can't post. Even if just to ask questions and stuff. And yeah, I've still got my eye on Shaddus too. But I think we've got enough pages now that we should have heard something from everyone, ya know?

If people start voting for the lurkers now, we'll never get any info from Shaddus.
Kiradawea2008-12-05 19:23:40
Renthur voted on Shaddus a bit earlier... but perhaps I'm too soft on him just cause I bullied him into playing. Anyway, I too wish to know how Shaddus can say what he does, but my vote remains on the nonplayer Archer2. It's no big loss to anyone if we get rid of nonplayers.

Yes, but for all the town non-players you kill, that's a day of non-information and a day of mafia victory, no?

Its obvious that Shaddus has played the computer game. And so he knows the charachters from the game, and that is how he is able to say what he says.
The question though is WHY he is saying what he is saying. As we know from all the previous mafia games, the game story and the mafia story arn't 100% the same.
SHaddus himself moderated a game where he took two evil NPCs and made one of them a good guy, and paired them up so we would think both of them were good guys!
So the question is, who is Shaddus that he would want to use computer game lore, to tell us that the person he thinks would be the roleblocker would be scum?

I believe the point is to get them to play, not to just kill them off. Or was Kira suggesting we just kill them off?
Arix2008-12-05 19:31:59
how many votes for Shaddus?

That's what I'd take from that, Dag. That is how it sounds to me.
Kiradawea2008-12-05 19:33:28
True. I didn't mean that we should lynch non-players at the exclusion of everyone else. But this early in the game, when we have almost no information to go on, and a non-player is as good a guess as a player, the non-players are picked off first.
Anyway, I've changed my mind. I want to hear what Shaddus has to say. Vote: Shaddus
As soon as I return though, my vote jumps back to our inactive numero uno. Unless, of course, we've gotten some important information.

As it is, we can only try and force him to fess up to anything he's doing by making a lynch a real threat...
Of course, if he is town, then we can move on to someone else, instead of actually killing him for the mafia.

I believe we have 8 of 12 now. I'm guessing at least one person in this game has a double vote, so its likely 9 of 12 now.
Kiradawea2008-12-05 19:37:34
Let me clarify. From a completely OOC point of view where it doesn't matter to me who wins and who loses, in a situation where the Town has equal reason to lynch a number of people and one/some of them have not posted (much) at all, I suggest that we go for the non-poster first, because he or she is not adding anything to the game for the rest of us, and he or she will not lose much, if anything at all, from being lynched. Did that clarify my intention?

The way you quoted my post, I realized it sounded like I was being a bit unfair to shaddus. He has been making all sorts of assumed declarations about people's loyalty, such as Mallow with the bag, and Croco with the "see ya"

Did that send up the scum radar for anyone else?
Kiradawea2008-12-05 19:42:12
It did? How? I'm confused... all I said is that I prefer to let those who play the game actually play.

Sounds kinda Rogue-ish too.
A rogue's only goal would be to get to the endgame alive.....

But by killing off anyone just because thier lurking, means that we might just pick off a townie that the mafia will have to kill down the road.

Besides the reasoning, this line right here set off alarm bells:
"Let me clarify. From a completely OOC point of view where it doesn't matter to me who wins and who loses, in a situation where the Town has equal "
So, let me clarify. From a completely OOC point of view, what is best for the town, should be best for you also, so there should be no reason for you to get "out of charachter" unless the case is that you really arn't winning with the town. What landros said makes sense as to your alignment....
