What next? Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny exist?

..... Santa Claus doesn't exsist?

Where do my presents come from, daddy? Who eats my cookies? Where does the milk go?

Glomdoring had its 'up' when Lis, Sham, Ash and Hyrt were all around and active. Good times. Never killed an Avatar or such, mostly because 2-3 man raids against Serenwilde were sweet (that was the day of the clueless zerg with Krellan and Sojiro being the only competent group fighters)... I distinctly remember Sojiro's reason for not converting to Glomdoring at this time was, and I quote, "I like playing the underdog."

It's true, sweet memories.

Of course they do.

Just like the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

You make me all nostalgic for times I never knew.

Or... saw the end, of, morelike, but without being knowledgeable enough to recognize them.

Those days were pretty special considering whenever we'd raid Glom, it'd just be me and Krellan, and they'd all swing at Krellan while I got to kill everyone else! I was also just a happy BM with scimitars so that was neat.

But yeah, back then it really was just me + Krellan + zerg and the zerg (probably me too) dying near instantly the moment choke comes in.

Possibly the best thing about those times, however, was that Lusternia was all fun n' games. That is, the raids that took place on either side consisted of "Yo guys, can you not raid at the moment?" and "Sure, let us know when we can raid." Corpses were always returned, none of this "Rawr I must win."
Ashteru2008-12-11 21:39:33
*weep* The world was better back then.
Noola2008-12-11 21:51:37
Except when you had to hike through the snow, uphill both ways to make your offerings.

That really ended when Magnagora and Celest got involved in our communal battles. Get out of our fights. pissed.gif

What is this magical, ideal Glomdoring that people are pretending used to exist? A whole lot of people hated it back then, and plenty of people got griefed and pissed off just like any other time. It's always like that.

Reminds me of the line from the Sunscreen Song: "Accept certain inalienable truths: Prices will rise. Politicians will philander. You, too, will get old. And when you do, you'll fantasize that when you were young, prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders."

You were inactive then, most likely.

Glomdoring wasn't perfect then either, but everything Synl described was very true. Serens and Gloms were nice to each other, there were no Celenwilde and Magnadoring on Ethereal (although there sure were on the cosmic planes), corpses came back except for a select few (and even the bastards whose corpses were slated for eating were usually spared if they were defending org territory), fighting could be regulated so neither side got griefed, and interaction between the two teams was honestly about fun.
