This time was delayed since the effort of maintaining the three-column form was far too crazy to maintain, so I wrote a C program to generate it for me from a plain list. Not gonna do the congratulations part anymore, though.

I expected this to be a pretty trivial program but it ended up almost 200 lines.

Does the story you write have to be based on your character, specifically? I read through this thread and someone mentioned it but I'm not sure. You seem like an expert.

HELP BARDIC suggests in one spot that it should be something your character might have written. I personally think that's a bad idea if taken literally, since it means those who play characters who wouldn't write (because it's not in character for them to do so) can't participate, and since the rule makes even less when you consider how artisanals work. So far as I know, bardics are never outright rejected because someone says the character they were posted on wouldn't've written that, but you never know. Naturally, it doesn't have to involve your character just because he may have written it.

Actually, I'm writing it about a character I had about four RL years ago. Sometimes I base my stories like that which is why I was wondering.
