Bioshock

Back to The Real World.

Ilyarin2009-01-01 13:44:33
Many days are spent wandering aimlessly through Neptune's Bounty, and slowly it seems almost as if the group seems to become comfortable in their gruesome surroundings. As they relax, the air begins to crackle with suspicion and the use of plasmids bubbles to the surface of conversation again.

Someone calls out, "Everyone is using too many! We don't know what will happen! Look at Dugan... Is that what will happen to us?"

Another pipes in, "Yeah, I'm real--"

Myrkr suddenly grabs Shiri by the scruff of the neck and emits a blinding pulse of light in his eyes, stray illumination revealing every horrific detail of your surroundings. Shiri reels back stunned and the group just stare on, dumbstruck.

Almost unanimously the group closes in on Myrkr, with Reiha pouncing forward and ripping out her eyes. Dropping them to the floor, the group moves on and leaves Myrkr behind. Her agonised screams continue for many minutes until they are suddenly cut short, having drawn the attention of every splicer in the vicinity.

QUOTE
Sally Smith - Myrkr

You are loyal to the shipwrecked survivors.

You are the strangest of women. You are uncertain of most everything, and though you are most definitely intelligent, you lack confidence in yourself, leading you to doubt everything you do at the slightest hint of criticism. If only you believed in your own abilities a little more...

It is now Night 3.
Diamondais2009-01-01 16:54:17
In case this night carries on into tomorrow, tomorrow around noon and on I'll be prepping to get on a bus for 4:25pm EST and on that same bus for 12 hours, plus the hour to two depending on traffic we'll run into just to try to get to Toronto midday. rolleyes.gif

As soon as I get back to my house in the Soo, I'll give a check to see where the game is.
Ilyarin2009-01-01 21:46:06
Just waiting on one person now.
Ilyarin2009-01-02 16:38:13
It is now Day 4.

Wading through the grim waters of Fontaine's Fisheries, you notice small grasses and reeds poking up through the dankness. As you continue on, what must once have been a spectacular garden erupts before you, filled with bright flowers and lush green grass. For a moment, this seems an oasis in the lurid city of Rapture, until you notice, once more, body parts strewn casually. Intestines hang from branches above like glistening ribbons, and fingers lie abandoned within the overgrowth. The heaving roar of a Big Daddy groans in the distance, vibrating like a overture to the sudden chitters and squawks of splicers in the shadows. Thick, curved glass gives sight onto the outside ocean, and a whale swims slowly between the gardens of Arcadia and the nearby building.

A lone child in the group wanders around casually, somehow ignoring the gore and enjoying sniffing the plants closely, indulging in their sweet and heavenly scent.

"Shiri! Nooo.... W-w-what HAPPENED to you..." yells the child, sobbing.

The group looks over to see the mutilated corpse of Shiri, collapsed within a bed of purple flowers.

Houdini Splicer - Shiri

You have been injected with an overdose of ADAM, transforming you from a human into a hellish houdini splicer.

* TELEPORT - You can teleport out of the way of lynch votes. Everyone's lynch vote on you will be nullified. You can use this ad infinitum.
Usage: Post on the thread TELEPORT
Requirements: It must be day.

* Your ability is hardly common - you will probably be recognised!

Wow, and my research said he was loyal to survivers, guess that was a bit early. Anyway, before I get randomly offed. Furien is Jack and is loyal to Rapture, I'm curious if the would you kindly thing will work like, Furien, would you kindly state your name and where your loyalties lie?
Kiradawea2009-01-02 17:00:28
Interesting.

Anyway, Dugan had... actually no plasmids in his body.

So... I have no conclusive proof that using plasmids leads to you becoming a splicer, but it seems that Dugan was a splicer from the start.
Serella2009-01-02 17:52:02
Yeah... from what we've seen, I'm pretty sure that using plasmids doesn't make you a splicer, but splicers are just certain roles.

Still might be a good idea to be cautious about using plasmids, though.

Way to go, asshat, now I'm going to get killed.

(And this is a flat denial that no, that doesn't work.)
Furien2009-01-03 01:11:39
Anyways, he's right. I'm Jack. I was here in Rapture before the rest of you, the survivors, arrived. I've had the Zap power for awhile now. It has a 50% chance to disable someone for the day and night, and a 50% chance to kill them. I can use it once every day, only during the day.

My 'loyalty' is to Rapture- however, my win condition is that I find Andrew Ryan and, somehow, bring about his death. Once a night, I can try and CONFRONT a player to see if they're Andrew Ryan. (I figured that this might have cleared Shiri, but there's even more baddies going around) I haven't found him yet, and I'm not 100% on what will happen when I find him- I'm hoping for new powers, personally, but whatever. I'll post more info on who I've confronted later- Ilyarin doesn't seem to have PM'd me about what happened to my power last night.

As a heads up- someone out there might be able to control me with a power, I'm not sure. If so, I don't know why they didn't use it on Renthur already, but I'm hoping it's one-charge only.

Furien2009-01-03 07:39:48
Okay, got my PM. The only person I can confirm isn't Andrew Ryan would be Noola. The other two I targetted (Daganev, Shiri) are all dead so it doesn't matter.
Casilu2009-01-03 07:45:59
I think we still have a serial killer. Somewhere...

So, intestines or glass?
Diamondais2009-01-03 08:12:25
Glass seems a bit dangerous, though intestines gross. wtf.gif

Coin flip seems appropriate.

How about a target? I think broken glass could be quite dangerous.
Kiradawea2009-01-03 13:56:52
Doman perhaps. He's been silent throughout the game and has not been posting recently, as far as I know at least. Besides, you've smashed him with planks already.
Doman2009-01-03 14:09:25
I have been quiet yes, but today I have news.

The last two days, where we have had splicers dying instead of normal people, I have been roleblocking morghor
Kiradawea2009-01-03 14:13:36
And Morhgor has been silent for as long as Doman has. Hmm. Let us hear what he has to say then.
Noola2009-01-03 21:16:36
That does make Morhgor sound suspicous!

FOS Morhgor for now, till he has a chance to speak up.

I've been away, on a nice litttle trip. (To lovely Ammy's house. wub.gif )

I don't have a working power anyway, so you can stop it on me, Doman. (Well, I do have one, but it has circumstances that haven't been met.)
Kiradawea2009-01-03 22:57:28
Funny. Morhgor didn't claim any allegiance.
