Back to Common Grounds.

It's going to be Narsrim or whoever just running around Fain land when no one is around, killing maggots then running away. Then we'll log in to essene loss spam, so we'll declare war on Eventru. Celenwilde will defend and it'll be just like the conflict we have now.

Thoros's idea is great. Order vs Order only.

What I meant to say is barring this, it's not practical.

Right. But is there any reason not to do this one (which is a bit more practical)? Just to keep it Order vs. Order, because otherwise you will have orgs feeling like they need to show up to deal with it.

Here's how we deal with that issue:

Only enemy order members count when essence loss is calculated for a war.

Sorry that I misinterpreted - I've been coding. I can understand if statements much more readily right now than English!

You'll still have Maylearists, Lisaerians, Lyrethites and Eventrustians charging into the Fainite shrine and fighting the horde of Fainites, Morgfyrianists, Raezonalatlists and one random Glom from Viravain's order who wanted to go fight people. It's just that only the Eventrustians will be actually be killing the mobs.

See but still. An example, let's say Fain vs. Terentia. According to HELP ORDERWARS:

Ways to drain essence:
- Killing a realm denizen.
- Calling invasion mobs on the opposing Patron's realm.
- Destroying shrines.
- Killing enemy Order members in their Patron's realm or your Patron's realm.

Those other three wars are still do-able with an organization. Let's say Celenwilde crammed up on Fain's territory, brought up a shrine, and just camped the realm for a long, long time with their usual zerg. They can just sit there with the entire place melded, shrined up and with invasion up and keep the area on lock-down.

Can't they change it so it acts like the domoth stage 3? Anybody who isn't in the orders at war get kicked to astral or something if they go to the realm while it's 'closed off'. (except in the domoth stage 3, the others are simply kicked out of the domoth)

The prime entrances to the aether bubbles should be Order members only. You put in aethrdocks, make people use them. If you aren't in the Order you shouldn't have instant easy access to the Order's happy place. Especially people like Thoros who like to touch others in their happy places.

I think that should only be happening if a war is going on. If the order isn't involved with a orderwar then the rime entrance should be open to anyone.

New question, can we have orders un-coupled from cities and communes? PLEASE? I want to raid some godrealms independent of Celest as per Kial's Elder Hatred.

No, no it shouldn't.

It is either a bubble or it is a prime area. As it stands right now it is niether. It is a PK Zone with no avenger.

It is simple as hell to do a pass by of the bubbles to see if anyone you like to PK is on one. There is no avenger protection even though the place has as easy access to it as any other prime bashing location, and there is no safety in that someone has to work to get there like there would be on an aetherbubble.

Hell there isn't even a skill you need to learn to transverse to the place making it at least something that has some challenge in getting to.
Unknown2009-01-12 02:29:33
I'd be fine with being unable to enter the pk area from prime during a war, not all the time, though.

Well in 6 months when people are crying about being greefed in their temples and how easy it is for anyone to jump them there.

Imma say "I told you so."

I think that is definitely a good idea.

Not allowing shrines inside nation territory would make order wars a lot less likely to wake the sleeping zerg-dragon on whichever side.
Jigan2009-01-12 02:43:28
I believe that the temples themselves should be protected by the Divine in question.

If you aren't in Fain's Order, I don't want to see you in the temple, enemy or not. I occasionally go there to meet with people or to think. I do not want to be ganked by Narsrim who thinks it's funny.

However, if we are at war with Eventru's Order, Eventru's Divine power nullifies the shield so Eventru Order members can march in and fight. But not Terentian's, and it always excludes Narsrim, always.

They need to change it so that only the two orders at war can play with each other without outside assistance.

Agreed.

'nuff said.

Is Isune's player even around anymore? My real reason for not joining her order is that I don't want to be a dead-goddie

So I long in to find the event ended rather abruptly in an unexpected way and that now we need to Ascend someone.

And apparently Lisaera has one of the first Godrealms and people are happily farming it- I see absolutely no NPCs in here.

I read the Order news and find out that Mag has, already, been farming this crap and that if we don't protect them Lisaera will get...cramps, essentially. To make it better, they can walk straight through the Temple on Prime to reach this place. And these NPCs don't cry out on OT (yet, they're probably fixing that). Plus, I'm going to have to walk over every 15 minutes and empower every sylph in the place if I want to make sure they're safe.

This is already feeling like a really tedious way to 'mechanically' 'hurt' a Divine. :/

The '1v1' idea, honestly, makes me lol. I can really see it now. Lisaera vs. Fain. The Demigods of Mag versus...Iola, Laysus and Galaphyrae? Hahahahahaha. You might have all the army you need, but hardly any other Order is in fighting condition.

I don't think you would be a dead-goddie....
I think that's all on the goddie's shoulders.

They take much longer to repop, don't they? Ours do.
Furien2009-01-12 03:55:22
That's a generalization. We're still going to have to spend our time regularly walking over to empower everything to make sure someone doesn't make it their new bashing ground.
