A Celest forum "zerg" of... you... doesn't provide what I would consider a sufficient amount of "opinion" to counterpoint a more logical, well-founded concern raised by our "Magnagoran" zerg, which included some Glommies as well. The fact is that it's a big concern, a concern that will bare its teeth quite vividly upon the first order war... and the fact that you refuse to acknowledge it speaks volumes about how you wish for this new feature to pan out. We all know that you only play to win... you've admitted much yourself several times, so I'm not too convinced that you really have everyone's best interests at heart when you present your opinion of the problem at hand. But hey, we're obviously all Mags/Celestians/etc RL, so my words obviously aren't gonna affect you.

I'm not going to post a lengthy response because quite frankly, I'm bored with this. Good luck advocating for what you want with your "ton" of three people.

See, I just don't want to have an Order War and suddenly get ganked by the people who simply want to beat down Fain's Order.
You see, I don't give two flying monkeys about it. I don't care if Celest said it, Mag said it, Serenwilde said it, Glomdoring said it, or Rogues said it. I don't want to be ganked by people coming to a war in what is supposed to be a duel.
Suggestion: Look at the idea itself for it's merits, not who said it.

Well, I'm pretty sure the fact that Fain's order has the most fighters of any order isn't something that anyone ignores, so as Celina has said before, this 'request' probably isn't totally unselfish or done for the best of Lusternia as a whole. I kind of see what he's saying.
I still do prefer that only orders be involved, but I prefer that about as much as I prefer all orgs fighting for themselves and not congealing into one mass, but hey, what can you do.
P.S. nerf choke

I also think this prevents most combatants from converging on a single Order so that they can gain the largest advantage in this new conflict game. If anything, it shows what I would consider some rather crafty foresight from the administration.
There is never any advantage gained unless both orders consent. So you could have 20 combatants in one order to make the strongest order ever, do you think they are going to be having fun with order wars? I seriously doubt it, as it requires both orders to consent, and who's going to consent to a fight that isn't going to be fun and you KNOW you are bound to lose?

Then what exactly is the problem with the current setup? Isn't the outcome the exact same?

No. I explained before a few posts back.

Because in an Order versus Order war, you will only want the Order fighting.
You see, if Terentia's Order went up against Fain's Order, while Fain's might have the most combatants, there will be jockeying in Terentia's Order to get more fighters.
I'm almost positive that at this point, you will come to Fainland, and start helping the Terentians, Narsrim. Many people will. Why? They don't like Fain. Wanting to help out is understandable. However, lots of Magnagorians do not like Terentia, and a lot of people loathe Eventru.
So, Narsrim, how would you like an Order war against Fain's Pirate Crew, Nocht's Ninjas, Lisaera's Cyborgs, and a Charune/Viravain Combine marching on Eventruland?*
No, this is to prevent people from taking advantage of a situation not for personal gain (Truefavours) but to simply slaughter for the sake of hurting one group. I can assure you, that if all of Celest descended on Fainland, Magnagora will get everyone in the game to descend on Eventruland.
We don't want people fighting just to grief one side, we want the Orders to build themselves up with Templars.
*Editted note: Everyone but Fainites are to kill everyone who defends while Fainites slaughter your denzins and dust shrines and such.

Both of you missed my point.
Terentia's Order currently has like 3-4 active combatants. Using the former example assuming only Orders could participate, why would Terentia's Order ever do so? Terentia is (relatively) inactive. The Order as a whole is not growing.
Why would it ever participate? Realistic answer: It wouldn't. Therefore if Fain's Order wouldn't realistically participate given the current setup and Terentia's Order (and most Orders, I feel) wouldn't participate given the suggested setup, what's the overall difference between the two besides the fact that one party feels more equipped than the other given the setup?

Why would Terentia's order accept an order war if they aren't in the state to win one? They wouldn't.
On the other hand, Eventru's order has way more active combatants. An order war of Eventru vs Fain would be fun, but it wouldn't be fun when Shuyin Malicia and the rest of Celenwilde come around.

Care to post a membership list of Fain's Order? I really want to call your bluff on this. I will gladly post one of Eventru's to provide a comparison.

Yeah let me just slap the order list on the forums.
You should know of the active fain combatants, it's not hard to spot them out. (Basically me, Melville, Lanfayr, Romero, and Ceren. And Jigan. Oh god. Nerf Jigan.)

Eventru has what, you Steingrim Aison Talkan..there's probably another or two or so.
Narsrim2009-01-12 07:11:12
I want to see a list! Copy/paste! I'm looking at our list, and I'm just laughing. I bet Ceren, by himself, could kill my entire Order minus 1-2 people. BY HIMSELF!

Don't forget Sthai... Fain's ultimate griefer
Narsrim2009-01-12 07:16:42
Point in case: Eventru's Order (like Terentia's) would never accept. Eventru's Order doesn't even have a combat Aquamancer who has reflexes. We would never even break a single room of Ceren's meld.

I believe one of the reasons why Fain's Order has so many combatants is because Piratety Captain Thoros and his scurvy crew take the time to help novices, or try to inspire them into becoming better seadogs on the Crimson Tides of Fain's Domain.
Doesn't Terentia also pride her Order on being fighters?
If you plan on entering an Order war, then you bring in fighters, and put forth the effort. If Terentia's Order gets enough fighters to where they think they can fight Fain's Pirate Crew, then they will fight.
But then, we'll have Eventru's Home Dawgs, Charune's Slices, and the assortment that is more commonly known as "Celenwilde Crips" fighting Fain's Pirate Crew. It doesn't matter even if the two Orders are the same might, more people will join in.

You're just crazy if you think I'm going to show you highly IC info by posting an order list of people
Still think order wars should be strictly order vs order.

I don't think you understand several key points:
1. Ceren, Vathael, etc. did not join Fain's Order because Thoros helped them as a novice. I really have no idea how you made that assumption so please, enlighten us. Fain happens to be the only active Order in Magnagora, and it therefore contains the most Magnagorans.
2. Terentia's Order is inactive. She's been gone and relatively inactive for a long time. Raezon takes pride in being favorable to scholars - when was the last time you saw his Order dominating in writing contests?
3. If you plan on entering an Order war (currently), you bring in fighters, and put forth the effort. If Fain's Order gets enough people from Magnagora/Glomdoring where they think they can fight Celest/Serenwilde, then they will fight (read: no difference)
