Server drop again, or am I just unlucky?

Apparently they crashed the server. They said on their forums it'd take about an hour, then a bit more time to get the server up again.

They were saying that there were -three times- the number of people of the usual beta (it's been running a couple weeks) group, and there were many times that people trying to get in. So yes, mission accomplished, it sounds like the servers were stressed. cool.gif

My understanding is Saturday and Sunday from 12pm PDT - 11pm PDT the beta servers will be open for more 'serious' playing.

I tried playing a couple weeks ago and the server was down then too. sad.gif I'm not really sure if my old clunker can handle the strain. I got it up, but running might be a problem.

Most of the beta has been covered by a non-disclosure agreement. Technically, so has this part too, but that went out the window as soon as the first people posted "I haz a key!!!1" without, you know, reading what they signed up for, so whatever. The stress test was basically unplayable because of, well, server stress. The rest of the people probably won't say anything.

I have to say, trolling their forums for any length of time really crushes any hope you have for the game being good. We can only hope that IRE players take over and impose martial law after release. sad.gif
